This has been bugging me. Why the comma? The ONLY WAY the two words are used together by our side, if we even admit to being Republican anymore is “Conservative Republican”. But 90% of people calling themselves conservatives, would never admit to being a Republican these days, given what has become of the party. And if we do admit it, we would certainly not have the comma.
But, but, if this were written by some left-wing nerd, then it is VERY POSSIBLE that he would have NO CLUE as to this distinction, as everything to the right of Stalin gets lumped together in his mind, and he, most likely, is trying to double-down on blaming our side.

I can promise that I would proudly admit to my Christianity. Hell and eternity are real, very real , to me, and the pain of dying, especially by being shot in the head, is fleeting. I have no doubt at all in my mind that I’d say I’m a Christian, it means more than to me that any other identity I have in this life, and eternity in hell and separation from God and all goodness for all eternity is more than I can consider to bear.
If he’s a Muslim, he’s by no means an athiest, he’s a worshipper of demons.
And you wouldn’t need to fear anyway, God gives us an abundance of grace and peace in such situations, He holds our hands through them (or as in the “Footprints” poem, He carries us Himself.

I hear you; I have a family (all of the kids minors) and I doubt I’d have the nerve to live up to the courage of the martyrs. Odd, considering that (to me at least) it is a guarantee of eternal salvation. I’d be thinking of how they’d get on without me (in particular the fate of their souls), and I’d probably chicken out (and spend the rest of my life atoning for it)...
