If Carly Fiorina could be shook down by Jesse Jackson how likely is it that shell be able to stand up to Iran, a country she once did business with in defiance of the sanctions?
Fiorina has a Jesse Jackson problem. The disgrace former HP CEO executive repeatedly praised the disgraced reverend throughout her career.
The American Spectator laid out some of the ties.
In a 2003 speech, Fiorina said, in the past 40 years, there are very few people who have used their talent along lines of excellence to achieve more things for more people in more places than Reverend Jackson. And we are all better off for his leadership. [Editor: Except for those Jews at hymietown, presumably.]
In the same speech, she recalls when Jackson called her on the phone to offer her encouragement, and to pray with her. She recounted: I hung up the phone and said, Oh my God, Ive just been praying with the Reverend Jackson.
And in yet another speech in 2000, Fiorina praised Jacksons passion and his courageous message and his wonderful convictions
Fiorina has also mentioned Jackson throughout her professional career.
And I thought about something that the Reverend Jesse Jackson said to me several years ago. He very graciously came to the offices of Hewlett Packard to visit me, because we were doing some work together for his Rainbow Coalition.

It is always special to share a stage with the Reverend, but never more so than this year.
Im sure most of you know this, but for those of you maybe who dont, this spring is the 40th anniversary of the day that Jesse Jackson led his very first march against segregation, when he was a student at North Carolina A&T University.
The Greeks once said that the greatest achievement one person can attain is the full use of your talents along the lines of excellence. And in the past 40 years, there are very few people who have used their talent along lines of excellence to achieve more things for more people in more places than Reverend Jackson. And we are all better off for his leadership.
Id like to share a personal story with about Reverend Jackson
Sometimes when youre in the middle of a battle such as we were at HP, you dont realize how other people see that battle youre just focused on doing what you have to do. And frankly, it got to the point where I didnt really want to read anything else about the battle, because reading about it distracted me. But one day, I got a phone call from the Reverend, and in the middle of everything else that he had going on, he called me to say basically, You hang in there, girl. And he also called me to pray. And that meant a lot to me.

But I still have concerns about Carly Fiorina. Conservatives who want to hold up Donald Trumps prior positions should do the same to Carly Fiorina. To the extent she has evolved, we should know. In fact, it is hard to label Carly Fiorina an outsider when she was the candidate the National Republican Senatorial Committee rallied to for the California Senate race in 2010. Fiorina then joined on to the NRSC in a formal capacity as Vice Chair after her loss at a time the NRSC was battling conservatives across the country, smearing candidates, and blacklisting conservative organizations and campaign teams that failed to get on board with men like Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) 36% and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) 58%. Fiorina was also the Republican the DC-GOP trotted out to join the pile on against Rush Limbaugh during the Sandra Fluke controversy.
Rand Paul was out for me when I found out he sat with Al Sharpton.
Same goes for anyone who meets with Jesse.
Carly is a liberal, “johnny-come-lately” conservative in name only whose past, not unlike Obama’s books (he had no past), tells us all we need to know where she’s really at.
Articulate? Yes. But it’s the heart that matters - not the mouth.
She looked like a normal person back then.
Carly Fio-RINO?
Another reason not to vote for her.
