Hygiene isn't Halal
Immigration is all about diversity and cultural enrichment. And this Muslim eatery enriched the UK with a new strain of Ecoli that sent customers to the hospital because handwashing was Haram.
A teenage girl almost died and more than 140 others were taken severely ill after contracting a E.coli in a filthy takeaway where staff did not wash their hands after going to the toilet.
142 customers who ate at the Khyber Pass in Hyson Green, Nottingham, suffered with nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea after the outbreak last June, and a 13-year-old girl was left so ill that she spent four nights in hospital.
Had her infection not been treated, it could have been fatal, medics said.
Amjad Bhatti and Mohammed Basit, owners of the Khyber Pass, in Gregory Boulevard, pleaded guilty to seven food hygiene offences and were sentenced today at Nottingham Crown Court.
Prosecuting, Bernard Thorogood said this was only the second recorded case of that particular strain of E.coli in Europe.
He said: "Its only known reservoir is the human gut.
"You realise the way it was transmitted was by use of incorrect hand washing after using the lavatory to defecate.
"A cough can't do it, a handshake could if it's an infected hand which means it was not washed after using the lavatory."
Khyber Pass proved nearly as deadly for the English this time around as its original namesake.
Mr Wesolowski said his condition was also life-threatening.
"The nurse said I nearly died. I lost loads of water. It felt like my body was 50 stone, because I felt so heavy, like the weight of a car."
The machine operator suffered stomach pains, chronic diarrhoea and vomiting after eating a chicken kebab with salad and chips from the takeaway on June 25 last year.
Now obviously Afghanistan and Pakistan are not exactly known for their cleanliness. But there might be a whole other problem here.
A customer was refused a wet wipe in a halal-only branch of KFC because they are soaked in alcohol and might offend Muslim diners.
Graham Noakes, 41, said he was astonished when staff at the fast food chains outlet in St Georges retail park refused to give him a hand-wipe because it was against its Halal policy.
Hygiene isn't Halal.
I probably came from a camel’s butt.
Backwards Luddites.
that’s butt ugly I bet!
Halal goat stew will do that to you
It was Mexico for me. I was a human 105 howitzer for several days.
I’ve seen illegal amigo children doing that. Drinking dressing from the ladle. I’m sure it was tasty. When I was that age, I wasn’t allowed to go to the salad bar unattended, or if I was, I was couth enough to not pick stuff up with my hands and to not gulp down the dressing. But, we were into western civilization and thus way too judgey.
That’s no way to talk about your mother.
Interesting. Walk into any Kosher restaurant and you will find a sink, soap and water available to wash your hands because in Judaism hand washing before eating is required. Cleanliness is Kosher.
So sad that the Brits would eat anything prepared by these savages.
Doesn’t the UK have a health department that does inspections. Does the UK stand for Useless Knights
?!
1976 I was invited to have lunch with the Israeli Purser aboard a Middle Eastern vessel I was handling shore side vessel operations for the vessel operator. It was staffed by Arab crew. Three days later I was quite ill. I was off work more than 90 days of which two weeks were spent in a hospital, because some filthy Arab handled the food set before me that otherwise lovely Sunday afternoon. The Shigella salad was not on the menu, but that is what was served me.
I have no love for those people. None. Disgusting filth.
In other words: "Eat $hit and die."
Of course they do, calm down.
UK inspectors are very rigid, and do many spotchecks a week. And very quick to deal with complaints, like this case. UK food hygiene standards are very rigorous. Of course some will break those laws/rules.
Depends.
North African food like couscous, done in this country with proper hygiene, is very nice.
Its a historic name, and part of British culture. Due to colonial history and the title of a great British film.
I also get the double meaning lol.
I am sure it is, and I have had couscous, but I would not enter one of their filthy establishments.
The ‘syrian’ ‘refugees’ were attacking buses and smearing their feces on them. Defend that with history.
So, they don’t wash their hands after using the restroom, but they wash their feet in the hand basins before they pray? Do I have that correct?
It’s simple culinary hygiene
Wash hands after wiping arse or picking butt or poofting lads
What these people need is some pulled pork!!!
