The smartest thing Trump did was bringing out the bible his mother gave him early on. He knows how to get an audience on his side. That’s a rare skill, and a great thing to have in your toolset.
Hear, hear!! Agree ;-)
All I’ve been hearing is the naysayers chortling because Trump supposedly was booed at that event. Who’s correct?
The boos were minimal.
Hard to tell if they were for Trump, or Trump calling out The Rube.
Regardless, Trump had the crowd eating out of hand, by the end of his speech.
Kind of a nothing burger, for the boos thingy.
Thanks.
Taking in a local HS Football game now. When I get back to the house I’ll watch that video and the one from OK.
“The crowd bood Rubio, not Trump. Clear as day in the video”.
You’re exactly right but of course that’s not the way the brain-dead Trump-hating media will portray it. To them it’s “Trump got booed when he called Rubio a clown”. Bloody Megyn will start off her program tonight saying Trump was booed and this is without a doubt signals the end of his campaign. Mark it down. That will be all the talk on the Bloody Kelly File.
Trump will rule the South!

Yep. Fair tax all the way.
Im the last person youd expect to defend Donald Trump, but these sound like boos of agreement, not against him. http://t.co/V4Fu60UEzh— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) September 25, 2015
Thank you @FrankLuntz https://t.co/gpJBNXKV3e— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 26, 2015
Good for Luntz
“The Talk” is already working :)
Its all in the book. He knows how!
Frank Luntz?!
I’m speechless. And for me; that’s saying something.
How you say in America? WOW! ;oD
Just finished watching the video. Some of you need to watch it again, and pay special attention when the camera shows the people. The speech was great. I think it was the best one he’s given since announcing. And the crowd. I thought they were with him right from the get-go.
Every time but one, when the camera cut away from Trump and looked at the crowd, they were snapping photos of him with their phones, or smiling or laughing. They seemed very relaxed, at home and content. In one cutaway, there was a guy in a red, white and blue cap who looked stoic like a wooden indian, but other than that, I thought the crowd was fine.
I sincerely think the crowd was with HIM, and booing Rubio when he mentioned Rubio. And at the end when the camera jumped to the crowd, I don’t see how the standing ovation could have been much quicker or enthusiastic. He should be very pleased, and I’m sure he was.
Someone gave a reply earlier stating that Trump will own the South. I agree. Trump is so real, and un-politician-like, the south is going to love him. Well why not. Some of his most beautiful properties are in the south.
At the Oklahoma event Trumps says, “Countries all over the planet are ripping us off, they’re burning people to death and beheading them in the mideast, our borders are a lawless violent free for all, trillions in debt, but they say they don’t like MY TONE?
El perfecto. KO’d that one into the gulf!
Thank you! I appreciate the Luntz comment, who is of course no fan of Trump. I am very happy to be wrong on this one. And, how fun that Trump thanks LUNTZ!!! Thx, Jane.
Lou Dobbs was fair about it, and implied it was a question about what was being reported about the booing. Guess he had done his homework and saw the uncertainty building on Twitter, maybe.
“With Cruz, each line is rehearsed”
Not the way I see it.
I see him as deliberate and thoughtful.
I see him as deliberate and thoughtful. When it comes to ideas, I can think of only one place where I disagree with him, and that’s his desire to INCREASE immigration.
But I was talking about what it is like listening to him. He is NOT interesting to listen to. Too often it’s a rote declaration, applause, rote declaration, applause. rote declaration, applause, etc.
Thank you for the post. I finally watched it.
I think your assessment is fair. They seemed to be booing Trump but I loved that he didn’t waver. On 60 Minutes he stated that we may have to break some treaties because they aren’t fair and “everything has an end”. Wow! Something that we never hear but need to hear. Who ELSE is doing this?
