Agree....I can’t tell, either.
Bloody Megyn — love it!!
Trump definitely seemed energized today.
I see the difference between Trump and Cruz as one is a speaker who entertains and rally’s people’s emotionally...... The other I see is one who knows the issues facing this nation well, speaks precisely about those issues Americans want to hear, and knows how and when he intends to address them on day one.
God, I can’t believe he said that, but I will tell you. if he’s this touchy just think how he’ll react to world leaders out there.
Everything, every single thing is staged with Trump like a fine wine. He’s not a loose canon.
You hit him, you’re going to get hit twice as hard.
Rubio was relentless with him out of the blue.
If that audience burst out with boos at the “clown” word, that tells me the audience was not appreciative of Trump’s use of the term, against Rubio. They were not receptive to the name calling. If they were on Trump’s side of that message, they would have cheered his insult to Rubio.
No one else is taking the boos as a plus for Trump, either. CNN has swiftly reported on the boos, also, and it was not in Trump’s favor. Wait until FOX gets a hold of it, tonight.
I agree with CNN. That was a cold fish audience, from what I saw, but for a few noisy Trump supporters. Maybe they were tired and ready for lunch, but they were duds at least on this thread’s video link.
Did Rubio say anything about Trump today during his speech?
“I think the crowd swung back to him after booing him.”
Why you say that?
Are you sure about that?
I think Trump did a fine job. And he did get a standing ovation at the end.
That said, we would be wise to wait for the straw polls to come out.
He certainly did a fine job with his speech. I think that is what I said in my first post. He went right at it, stayed with it, and disregarded the stony faces.
My fault that I didn’t watch the last four minutes, to the end. I was short the final four out of all 25 minutes. They must have warmed up, finally, or maybe the Trump supporters poured into the room to deliver the standing O. I sure hope so.
The reason why they booed Marco Rubio? The Trump rhetoric surrounding it was about the Gang of 8 amnesty/comprehensive immigration reform.
I went back and watched the standing ovation and, while I have seen better standing O’s—where folks jumped to their feet, this was still a standing ovation and, considering the crowd, it was fine.
See for yourself...The point at which Trump mentions Rubio in the video.
The fact that, after the booing starts, Trump says "no, no" in his best Christopher Walken voice (which by itself could win Trump the election) tells us that he knew they were booing him...and he didn't care.
Walken will be soon doing Trump impressions on late night TV to adoring audiences...mark my words.;-)
That doesn't include me because I'm just a rooster.
Watch and learn (from them not me).;-)
The only reason why this particular audience even knows of Marco Rubio is because of the Gang of 8 bill.
They applaud when Trump reiterates his immigration stance.
I always consider the audience before rendering an opinion. And that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.
As for Trump not caring if he’s booed, I watched the USS Iowa speech. I know he can handle speaking in tough situations.
I'm not a Miss Marple looking for imperfections and hanging on baited breath looking for a misstep. I stated my observations.
The smartest thing Trump did was bringing out the bible his mother gave him early on. He knows how to get an audience on his side. That's a rare skill, and a great thing to have in your toolset.
I know it takes more than one person to create a movement. :P
Exactly. You nailed it.
I’m just thankful to hear so many believe the audience warmed to Trump at the end of 25 minutes. I will probably wait for the polling, before I’m really convinced.
