The Twelvers are not into just any old war with a few hundred or a few thousand dead here and there. They want millions on millions dead. The strong scent of blood is the only way the 12th Imam will climb out of the well. Once out he will lead his forces against all others until every last human is brought to Paradise, with the last two obliged to kill each other.

Yes, that’s right the mullahs don’t want any war - they want total human extinction, which conventional means cannot achieve - their hopes are on starting a worldwide nuclear war. The y could careless about being “invasion proof” in the long run; only about being “invasion proof” until their nukes are ready to fly.

And yes, they have said that their deaths are inconsequential in achieving their religions beliefs as they will go to Paradise with great honors; beliefs which are as firmly held as any devout Christian’s beliefs. You believe in Christ, they believe in Death. If you could you would have Christ come back soonest, so they believe, when they can, they will bring Death soonest.

Do not mistake the mad mullahs for some Iraqi or Libyan Sunni or some previous Russian or Chinese leader. They are truly mad in Western eyes, but totally sane in their own.

Yes. The Pope is a genteel man, and will be nice to him.

What, “Death to America” ad nauseam not factual enough for you? This is what Putin is supporting in reality—the death of Christians at their hands. And don’t start again about their dhimmi captive communities, because enough of them have been murdered by Iran at the whim of the Mullahs.

Bullsh'ite. As bad as it is to live under Islam of any kind, including secular Turkish kind of Islam. the Christian natives - like 1 to 2% of the Iranian population are protected and given constitutional rights and seats reserved for them in the Iranian Parliament.

All I mentioned, facts you can't refute, is that the Shia Iranians have treated their Christian population better than the Sunni version have treated theirs. Simple and provable.

The Sunni fanatics are beheading Christians and seeking to genoicde them. The Iranian mullahs have ruled Iran for like 40 plus years and that has yet to happen.

That's a fact. Death to America chants not withstanding.

You’re defending Iran’s lies, never mind parroting the mainstream media. Enough said. Where are your “facts” coming from? I don’t see a single citation out of you.

I suppose you believe that the USSR also upheld its “rights” that were effectively nullified by other clauses in its constitution?

Iran's Shia' Syria's Ba'athist regime is all the evidence one needs to see how Christians were treated in Syria before the Sunni Muslims revolted and after how the Christians fared under the Sunni fanatics.

It seems you and yours could care less about the native Christians in the middle east as long as whatever foreign policy objective you wish for is carried out.

We have the recipe for Syrian bread. We have no need for Syria or its’ citizens.

None.

You mean their propaganda. Closed societies do not have their claims readily verified independently.

Assad is a killer of Christians, BTW.

Copts in Egypt had more freedom as a Christian population in a Sunni Muslim country than the dhimmis in the Shi’ite ones, and then along came Obama, Iran’s friend and a mutual friend of the Muslim Brotherhood (Hamas offshoot of same, long funded by Iran).

Egypt is under a sort of Ba'athist secular regime also. That is why the Christians danced in the street when the Egyptian military overthrew the elected Muslim Brotherhood govt.

And when I say sunni and shia I am talking about the fundamentalists of their strains. Shia Iran is freer than Sunni Saudi Arabia. For women and Christians. I rather be a Christian in Iran than one in Free Syrian Army/ISIS/Al-Qaeda ruled Syria.

I have posted on this question here before and I still can’t get a satisfying answer.

In the civil war in Islam between the Wahhabi, genocidal, medieval Sunnis backed by Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies who finance ISIS and do not tolerate any form of Christianity within their borders, and the Shiites backed by Iran, a country that has one of the more tolerant, educated, and women-friendly societies (hey, it’s the Middle East we’re talking about here, so these things are relative), why is the US backing the head-chopping Saudi troglodytes?

I get the Tehran US Embassy siege, I understand the resentment against that, but that was forty years or more ago. Iran has posed little or no threat to the US since then. Its people are actually very pro-western in outlook, have a more advanced form of democracy than most Gulf states, educate women and give them the vote, and tolerate Christians and even Jews freely practicing their religion.

Meanwhile our throat-cutting, women-hating, freak-show, desert-dwelling “good friends the Saudis” sent out the 9-11 attackers and fund ISIS.

And the US backs the Saudis?

I don’t get it, I really don’t get it.

Wouldn’t you agree that Syrian people were much better off with a somewhat nonsecular Assad government than with anarchy and Muslim fundamentalists that burn people alive at the helm?

If the Russian bomb the Syrians half as hard as they bombed Berlin...

The Western powers (US and UK) bombed Berlin. Not the USSR. Russia is now, as it was then, the opportunist.
