TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - A viewer took video when a fight broke out at Publix in Temple Terrace.
Jessica Jordan was at Publix, and grabbed her camera phone when the fight broke out.
Jordan said the fight started when an older gentleman was being loud, obnoxious, and rude to deli employees. Other shoppers took offense and exchanged words with him.
The viral video shows it ended in a group brawl with people being chased around the deli and out of the store.
Publix released an official statement:
An altercation occurred involving our customers. A couple of our associates placed themselves in harms way attempting to break it up. Fortunately, no injuries occurred. The safety and well-being of our associates and customers is our first priority. Were very disappointed the incident escalated as it did, but thankful no one was injured.

Thanks for the tip. I’m not in the Midwest but recently had occasion to remotely order a deli platter for relatives in Minneapolis. I spent a lot at a specialty place but probably could have done better at Meijer’s.
Sunday evening I was at the deli in one of the Boca stores and couldnt believe how slow and disinterested they were. About 8:00pm . . . 10 of us waiting and two of the three behind the counter were processing the phone-in orders and ignoring those of us standing in line.
...
Yep. It’s gotten horrible. The only way to get service is to do your order online. Management has obviously told them to do online orders first.
Classic!
Thanks for sharing! And yes, your Dad was right.
Only problem is at EVERY deli of theirs you go to they are purposly slow as molasas in January.
I think they do it on purpose.
....
It is slow on purpose. Online orders are their first priority, now. If you can’t beat them, join them.
Too bad you don’t have a Hy-Vee near you. I am amazed and pleased at how helpful and courteous their employees are. Good training or good selection and maintaining high standards.
In response to the long lines at delis and the attitude at many service industries is the new work ethic of Obamas transformed Amerika.
The slower I work the less I have to do
Unfortunately so...

From all the videos that have come out in the last few years it is definitely a "Florida" problem, but I wouldn't say it is just a "black" problem.
Thanks..BTW..you didn’t replay to my Freepmail a few days ago..
Flavorful and tender, it is reminiscent of the stuff I had on several occasions in Manhattan.
I'm glad you offered that because I'm sitting here eating a sandwich with pastrami I purchased from Meijer's yesterday.........LOL!
Is Publix the new McDonalds?
Seems to be. LOL
10 of us waiting and two of the three behind the counter were processing the phone-in orders and ignoring those of us standing in line.
Yep. HyVee deli and food service it always good. Food is pretty good too.
I recently was in Ormond Beach for 3 weeks. The ONLY meal that wasn't Publix chicken was breakfast...(well maybe 3-4 were breakfast also....)
I have relatives that visit Florida from Westchester County NY. I have seen them take AT LEAST $50-100 worth of Publix Fried Chicken home with them as they leave.
If someone tried to cut in line or create a "problem" while I was trying to pick up a Publix Fried Chicken order...(as one of my friends would say) ..."it would make your worst nightmare seem like a "happy place"..."
Chik Fil’A does not cut Boars Head meats by the half pound . . .
Yeesh.
Then you get it sliced the way they care to not the way you want
Man realy likes his chicken.
I’d walk a mile for their key lime pie.
Lately I have been appreciating a good Turkey Pastrami. Might want to give it a try next time.
