TRUMP: I'm Boycotting Fox News

Colin Campbell
September 23, 2015

Real-estate tycoon Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he will no longer do interviews on Fox News shows because the network has been treating him "unfairly."

".@FoxNews has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won't be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future," the Republican presidential front-runner wrote on Twitter.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused Trump to announce the boycott, but he has repeatedly feuded with the network in recent days and weeks.

On Monday night and Tuesday morning, Trump released a lengthy tweetstorm attacking hosts Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly, as well as the "Trump haters" they have on their shows.

He called Kelly "the worst" and labeled her show "terrible." He said O'Reilly "was very negative to me in refusing to post the great polls that came out today including NBC."

He also said he had a hard time watching Fox News, while retweeting multiple supporters trashing Fox and calling for a boycott of the network because of its supposed bias against him.

The thing I like about Trump is that he doesn’t flip-flop...

yeah! Its not like he's been a liberal dim all his life and has just recently discovered some conservative talking points.

Oh wait, never mind.

“A strategic mistake I think, as CNN is in love with him right now,”

I don’t see it. They came out with that wacky poll and got the networks to repeat it like it was gospel. NBC even toted it over their own poll!

I used to watch f&f while at the gym...I have no cable or satellite. I now only watch local affiliate and since the first debate haven’t watched any f&f...I flipped back a couple times to see each time the had some simpleton demo thing on.

Hopefully Trump will start going on OAN because they would really explode if he did.

Fox has been touting the CNN poll over their own poll. CNN has Trump losing share, while Fox shows him gaining.

Trump would be better served if he identified what he meant by “unfair”, although the article writer is being disingenuous (OK - he’s lying) when he says the reason is “unclear”.

Trump could easily incorporate the reason for his decision without destroying the sound bite quality of his tweet.

He doesn’t need Fox. The left and GOP Trump-Haters love watching FNC bash on Trump.
We pulled the plug on the dish years ago and haven’t looked back.
Fox looks like a box full of cast off Barbie Dolls.

FOX is practically boycotting Trump and Cruz. I finally gave up on them when they did that. Now, they just push Jeb Bush.

I hope the progressive Murdoch “kids” lose millions and millions of dollars.

Fox News is not “fair and balanced”, nor are they conservative.

Me too. I have had it with Geraldo Riveira, Juan Williams. Megyn Kelly, Shepherd Smith, Karl Rove, Bret Baier and the other assorted freaks they pull out trying to push Bush. The other night Kraphammer fairly exploded with indignation on the O’Reilly show about Trump.

Its changed and now is pro-establishment and liberal far more than ever before and their morning show is more like USA Today than a serious news station.

In 1998ish I edited a niche motorsports site that had 7 figure readership monthly. www.off-road.com. In 1998ish. Someone tell me that in 2015 a guy worth 10 billion needs TV to reach the public.

FOX has been so repetitive this last month that I am watching full Red Sox games.

He’s been a regular on Greta Van Susterns show, Hell,
sometimes she turns over half the show to him when he’s
campaigning somewhere.

Greta is about the only Fox show I watch these days.

Marko.

Every time I’ve turned Fox on in the past couple of weeks, the hosts have been mostly trashing Trump and pimping Fiorina or Rubio, and Carson for a time, or some other candidate not Trump. And they’ve normally had a stream of guests trashing Trump.

And all the attention Trump got on Fox starting in late June was for rating and to try and damage him, not to help him. When that backfired, they started pimping other candidates and giving Trump less airtime.

Trump is correct in what Fox is doing, but he shouldn’t spend so much time tweeting about it. Just cut back on the time he gives Fox.

I’m done with them, too. Haven’t watched FNC since that first phony gotcha’ session they laughingly called a debate. I’ve tried, but always felt besmirched or soiled...like walking through a barn in my brand new tassle loafers; or through a dusty gravel parking lot in a freshly washed car.

The Murdoch boys can go pound sand....and take Muggin Kelly and Bull OReally with them. If they’d give that slot to a REAL journalist, and easy on the eyes, to boot....Shannon Bream, or another of my faves, and a looker....Harris Faulkner, I’d tune back in.

"Fox has become unwatchable. I changed from F&F in the mornings to Maria Bartiromo, as F&F became more anti-Trump. It didn’t take long afterward for FBN to jump on the bandwagon."

Ditto, I retreated to Fox Business, but it too became offensively biased, so I have gone back to CNBC which is actually more of a business channel. However, today's, Marxist Pope/Obama love fest was too much all together so it is on to marathon streaming video.

Trump has the ratings hence the leverage. Only Trump can boycott a network while other candidates beg for exposure of any kind in any venue.

I caught a glimpse of Megyn's show during a commercial of the MNF Jets game. One of her guests - I forget if it was Chris Stirewalt (wth is a "digital politics editor" anyway?!) or the other knucklehead - said that the takeaway from the latest polling wasn't that Trump was far ahead at 24% but that the non-Trump vote was 76%!

Funny that none of them brought up that using that same logic, the non-Bush vote was about 90%!

I immediately changed the channel back to the game.
