This happens all over the country. What’s the problem.

I guess the name “Bush” equals nepotism in a fashion. Dynasty is more like it.

What’s the use of public service if you can’t reward your friends?

I am still wondering who voted for him. I sure didn’t.

I hate the freaking government. Nepotism, sloth and corruption under the guise of “public service.”
Then, after years of no show jobs, endless “meetings”, no accountability and cushy benefits, they name a bridge or park after themselves because of their tremendous personal sacrifice.

Well, he’s got to hire somebody. He certainly doesn’t know how or have the inclination to actually run the place.
Any politician comes with a train of courtiers seeking position and favor but this does smack of Hillary’s Travel Office-gate.

America is the Bush & Clinton families oyster.
Why shouldn’t Geo Pee get in on the action?

This is an issue in a lot of states. Certain state offices don’t require a ton of responsibility and turn into political gravy trains and mere stepping stones to higher office. They should be shut down to save the taxpayers’ money. Not sure about this office. Is Texas Land Commissioner a real job, or just a useless leftover that has morphed into a political gravy train and should be shut down?

I'm wondering when he's had time to fire and hire since he's spent most of his time working on his dad's presidential race. Read a recent article with the actual figures.
He's an absentee Land Commissioner it appears and the excuse they gave was "he doesn't actually have to be in the office (or even the state) since he can work from anywhere via computer".
I didn't vote for him either.
