HOUSTON - A group of mothers protested outside of the entrance to the Houston Zoo Saturday after a new rule states guns are no longer banned at the zoo.
About 50 people protested the fact that those legally carrying guns can now bring them into the family favorite destination.
The demonstrators are part of a group called Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.

Sad when a zoo is more civilized and respectful of people’s rights than many U.S. cities.
Those NRA and Concealed Carry nuts have to be prevented from coming into the zoo and shooting the animals.

And here all along I thought zoos were supposed to be a safari buffet for NRA and Concealed Carry nuts.
Guns were never banned at the zoo. The only ones who were banned from carrying guns at the zoo were people who give a damn about obeying the law. People who do not give a damn about obeying the law have always been free to carry guns there.
Do you really feel safer in a public area where the only ones carrying guns are people who do not give a damn about obeying the law? Undoubtedly people who are carrying guns and who do not give a damn about obeying the law feel a lot safer knowing that their potential victims are unarmed.
Awesome, now you can go to the Zoo in Houston and not have to worry about being a statistic.

They KNOW that they, themselves, could not be trusted with a deadly weapon.
Since they are oh-so-much-better than anyone else, it's obvious that no one should be trusted with one.
Unless they are a dispassionate agent of the State, of course...

I hadn’t heard of that one, so I had to look it up. All I can say is WOW! The guy with the knife sure covered a lot of ground going after all those cops. The one cop was even armed with an AK! The others must have been carrying .38’s or 9mm because after they finally succeeded in shooting him in the chest he still didn’t die.
