Thrust into the national spotlight thanks to Wednesday nights GOP presidential debate, everything about Carly Fiorina is under the medias microscope. Much has been said about Fiorinas job record, particularly her tenure at Hewlett-Packard. Fiorina was fired from HP in 2005, a fact her opponents love to mention.
I can’t see why you guys are so against Carly, and you’re for Trump. The only thing good about Trump is that he is shooting through the bull. And he is laying waste to the media. And I would vote for him just for that. I am so happy to see the population acknowledge that the press from both sides is nothing more than propaganda.
But Carly or Trump or Carson would be fine. Here is the problem though. Trump has never dealt with a large bureaucracy. Because he is a builder and a casino operator, he knew how to persuade(buy) politicians to get his buildings built. But president is a much bigger thing. And he will have to deal with lots of strong underlings.
Carson has never run anything larger than a surgery wig of a hospital. I like his rhetoric. But I am not sure he can lead. His speeches are substantial but not compelling to the average folks.
Carly can give a compelling speech. She is better at leading a large bureaucracy. And the average person is more likely to accept her. And her stands on conservative issues are better than Trump’s and not as good as Carson’s.
She offers one thing. She can get elected. Cruz cannot. Cruz scares people. He is the smartest of the bunch. But he scares people.
She is garbage and just another insider. She is utilizing her rolodex to fund her BS outsider status. She is an insider. Just an insider who has not been able to win.
How many OTHER corporations hired her? none.
He two CEO tenures speak for themselves. Catastrophic failure and expulsion.
She even had to PAY for the NYT ad endorsing her.
Steve Jobs started Next Computer? Fiorina.... lost to boxer.
CEOs are like head coaches, they get fired and rehired.
You sound a little butt hurt also.
She couldn’t even get rehired. Anywhere. Or elected. That puts her at less than roach status.
You posted she was fired. I don't see that in the report, but could have very well missed it. Do you know where it says that?
This was intended for you Poinq. I accidentally posted it to someone else.

Once again, sorry The Ghost of FReepers Past.
Its unusual to fire a CEO doing a great job regardless of board politics
HP revenue went up because she bought a Compaq which was a failure in itself
Profit went down decline revenue going up and the workforce slashed ....the latter causing issues
She had the reputation as very caustic and ambitious and not liked or respected and if you lose money then youre done
She lasted longer than she should because shes a girl
HP stock went up 7-10% on news of her firing”
Carly HAS no reputation left in the business world. And in regards to national elections, she couldn’t get arrested : )
I agree with your comments, even her lack of arrest. LOL
She worked her magic, and stayed on for (I believe it was) four years.
During that four years her magic didn’t work. Then to hear her tell it, the day she left it all of a sudden started to work.
Thus, her magic was responsible for the rise in stock value even when it wouldn’t budge while she was still in charge.
It’s comical to watch her team spin this.
“Her actions brought on success.” None the less, mysteriously that success never showed up on her watch.
Bring in a new team and of course, “Carly’s actions suddenly kick in.”
What her supporters can’t answer is this. If she was so good, and everyone including those who followed her in leadership think so, why wasn’t she hired on to work the same magic for another firm?
Well?
Lucent = LOSER
HP = LOSER
California politician = LOSER
We outta here : )
We is...
= :^)
My understanding at the time is that she bought Compaq because of the Ipaq hand-held device. She supposedly wanted to go into what became the Ipod and smart phones. If that is true, it was obviously a good move that failed in execution. The latter says more about her as a CEO than the former.
Business wise, I trust your judgement, wardaddy, and my businessman husband’s. He’s less than impressed with her business acumen and her track record.
I, on the other hand, don’t like her presenting herself as an outsider when she’s anything but that.
Exactly
She’s establishment moderate through and through and has already defeated one conservative in a GOP primary
A sharp tongue does not make a president or I’d be leading the pack
Your crazy. And I am sure you have no idea what you are saying. She was CEO for 5+ years, amazing at HP. She lost a board fight on how the company should be run. She had the same experience as Lee Iaccoca at Ford or Michael Eisner at Disney.
Your attacks on Carly are blatant mudslinging. I doubt you even believe what you are saying. For some reason you are afraid of her. Probably you are just a Trump patsy.
