A Letter From Another Good Man Calling It Quits on the Former USA and the Army

(Just over the transom… Emphases mine.)

Dear Ann,

In response to your post “There Must Be A Reckoning” I can only say that I am also one of those who have failed to do justice. I have kept hoping that someone somewhere would notice what was going on and put a stop to it. I have also had the despairing thought of “what can I do about it? I am just one man.” I spoke with my new Battalion commander this weekend on the subject of arming soldiers who may come under attack by Muslim fanatics. I cited 4th generation warfare theory and he agreed that there are no particular theaters of war any longer. He was at least willing to look into the idea of soldiers defending themselves. The past three officers I have questioned about this have always put their careers before the lives of their men. They have made the calculation that it is more likely that a soldier will fire a round into the floor, ceiling, himself, or another by accident than a Fanatic or terrorist will attack and kill their soldiers and the former situation would be detrimental to their career while the latter would not because in the latter case they were ‘just following orders’ or ‘did all that they could.’ I explained my position thusly: We have a right to defend ourselves recognized and protected by the second amendment, I know that we also swear to obey the orders of our officers, but I am now being put in the position of having to enforce orders that are unconstitutional. I was told by a Sergeant Major that I MUST report any soldier that breaks the law and carries a weapon onto a federal facility. But how can I demand that my soldiers NOT defend themselves against an armed enemy? If I am being forced to choose between prosecuting my soldiers or going to prison for NOT forcing them to give up arms, then I choose not to serve any longer, and I don’t want to do that, because I love the Army, but I will leave if I have to. In any case, this LT. Colonel is no more fit to command than they, because his entire motivation is pleasing his superiors and accomplishing his mission. That is all fine and good, but does not require any philosophical thought or a time horizon of more than about a year.

I cannot and will not re-enlist (the whole ‘gun’ issue is just the tip of the iceberg). No matter what they dangle in front of me. The US government has effectively become a satanic organization and the best course of action for me is to cease all support for it. I wish I was brave or smart enough to think of something I could do to undermine this monstrosity, but I am a weak and feeble sinner. I hope that simply withdrawing my support for the system, taking the beam from my own eye and obliging them to come to me will be enough. On a lighter note, A few months back I hinted that I may not re-enlist and stated to my former commander that my morale was low. She seemed surprised and said: “We’re all in trouble if Sergeant X isn’t re-enlisting!” I smiled along with the chuckles and thought: You don’t know the half of it!

As if we weren't aware already of the effect Obola's had on our military morale - If our servicemen have little confidence in their commander-in-chief, brass, and doubts our purpose of mission and nation's moral authority, where does that leave us?

Advanced weaponry, and military superiority are only as effective as the determination of the force. And a deMoralized force is less likely to succeed against a determined opponent. What are you hearing from officers and enlisted?

There will come a day when military weapons will be fitted with an “electronic authorization” function that will keep the weapon from being fired until a license to shoot is granted (after having gone up the chain of command).

From a Vet with a son in the Army. We need the good people to stay to rebuild after we come to our senses and get rid of the current leaders.

We can’t just give in and let these left-wing bastards take over the country! Once gone it likely won’t ever come back.

Micromanaging the battlefield goes back to Vietnam rules of engagement, when Lyndon Johnson was personally authorizing squad level operations on the ground.

Only been four years since I retired from the Army Reserve. I don’t think I’d recognize the place now.

Gee, anyone else feel like that?

The whole problem boils down to this:

Besides being an apologetic, rudderless, metro sexual, nincompoop, Obama is simply NO COMMANDER & CHIEF. He does not command ANY RESPECT from within the USA and abroad. The ONLY people apparently who thought he was made of some kind of fine material were the Nobel Peace Prize committee way back when.
He has gutted the Army and insulted American pride on every occasion possible. He supports America’s enemies and throws our allies under the bus.
In short, he is just as Clint Eastwood once demonstrated on stage, an empty chair. The worst part is that he is setting us up for another Pearl Harbor.

When I was in the Army, homosexuals (they weren’t called gays back then) were, upon being discovered, given general discharges and booted out. Females did not serve in combat MOS positions and were in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC).

Yet black soldiers were treated the same as everyone else and held the same positions. There was no such thing as political correctness trumping military effectiveness.

Seems like it’s more .. down the drain of command.

But, I can tell you why all this is happening. All the major Commanders/Admirals/Generals, were given a choice; either agree to fire on the American public, or resign.

Two military people I trust confirmed this to me.

However, I believe that when we have a new CIC, there will be a new group of military leaders who will re-establish the common sense principles .. like NOT having women in HOT combat areas; especially now that tests have established that ALL MALE UNITS PERFORM BETTER THAN THOSE WITH FEMALE STAFF (which I could have told them would happen). Sorry ladies, you’ll just have to get over it.

Like anything else .. all it takes is leadership. And .. we might see a few of the people who resigned be reinstated .. just because the military will be allowed to be the military.

If it is indeed true that the upper ranks were thinned to keep the ones that would fire, then with a new President, I’d expect these same people would be hunted down and thrown out.

When you were in the Army things were much simpler and nobody made a fuss about getting their feeling hurt all the time.
People could speak their mind without the fear that the thought police were lurking around the corner.

It reminds me of the old “All in the Family” theme song...”...girls were girls and men were men...”

Sadly the Army is downsizing and reducing the Army by 30,000 so as far as numbers go, the Army is happy to see Soldiers go.

Thanks for your service to this still great country......this time reminds me of Jimmy Carter......and you know what happened next.....so we are not completely gone but on the brink for sure.

Well .. I would hope so.

All it might take is a few ruined careers for the point to be made. The CIC does not have the right to fire on the public .. and if they were willing to follow such an evil plan; they do not belong in our military.

I’ve realized the only slight effect I can have on satanic Fed.gov is doing my best to pay zero taxes to it

Like this man, I can’t think of anything else I can do to have an effect

My father was a WWII Army Infantry combat veteran (N. Africa, Sicily, Italy & Germany). He stated that during basic, the homosexuals who were in basic training with them did not generally make it through basic. Not that they were harassed; but they just could not cut it, and those boys who were looking at the prospect of hard combat were not in it to play - they were in it to go and ram it on home to Hitler where he lived! There was no time for cross dressing foolishness. - On another note; a former Army officer told me over 20 yrs. ago that when they got a “bug out” signal, the women in his outfit did not have the upper body to load the heavy equipment onto the trucks. So, their outfit just didn’t bug out - which in real combat would be a tragedy if attacked.

Off topic, but another line in that theme song was

"Hair was short and skirts were long,
Kate Smith really sold a song,
Gee, I wonder what went wrong...
Those were the days!

My father enlisted in 1939 (retired 1963). He said in those days if there was any question of leadership between the enlisted and the NCO that they would take it out back and fight. He who won wore the stripes.

This scenario was depicted in several movies including Sand of Iwo Jima with John “Sgt. Stryker” Wayne.
