Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson jabbed Tuesday at front-runner Donald Trump's proposal to deport everyone who is in the country illegally, calling the plan impractical.

"People who say that have no idea what that would entail" legally and otherwise, Carson said, adding: "Where you going to send them?"

Carson jumps on board The Cheap Labor Express

We MUST elect a President who WILL enforce the laws.

One more amnesty and it won’t be our country anymore.

He’s a “safe” spot for conservatives that dont want to flock to Trump + Bush/Walker/(no idea whom else to support) supporters to park themselves because he says nothing provocative, makes no sudden moves, and isn’t a firebrand.

He’s just a placeholder. I’m sure he knows this, and that’s why he isnt making any waves because every time he speaks he stands to lose one of those blocks.

Let’s say he is right....that is impractical to deport them, “legally or otherwise”. Why would we grant them guest worker status? What is the advantage to the US? Why would we reward lawbreakers with a gift like this? Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing “something”.

Cruz needs to start kicking it into full gear. Nobody is the “perfect” candidate but things aren’t looking so hot for conservatives.

I don’t want to solve our immigration crisis by making everybody legal.

I wonder if the numbers for Carson are going up because that is where the anti-Trump establishment types are going because their candidates suck?

Or are they just old folks drooling into their Jello cups thinking that it is JOHNNY CARSON running for president. :-)

Stick a fork in him.

So far we've got:

1) Flip-flopping all over the place on the 2nd. Amendment
2) Anti-freedom and parental rights on vaccines.
3) Referred patients to an abortionist and is not sorry about it.
4) Did research on aborted fetal tissue and won't apologize.
5) Pro-amnesty.

Yep, break out the good silverware.

If they aren’t paying taxes they need to get the H out.

We don’t need to be supporting their multiple sewer babies.

"What is the advantage to the US"

If you give them amnesty to guest worker, they are on a temporary guest worker visa which will expire, requiring that they leave. But they could apply for a second guest worker visa after the first temp visa expires. Or a 3rd. Some temp guest workers have been coming here for years/decades.

If you give them amnesty onto the path to citizenship, they spend 7 years on the path, after which they are given a permanent legal resident alien visa(Green Card), which allows them to go thru the naturalization process and become a voting citizen. But, not all Green Card holders in the US go thru naturalization. Many are content maintain the status of a green card. To go thru naturalization they have to pay a hefty fee, hire a lawyer, and pass the test.

Congress is waiting for the Real ID to be fully rolled out, after which they will address the "illegal" problem. Based on what has been proposed in the past, they will likely set up a 3 tier system.

They establish a cut-off date, say Jan 1, 2015, or Jan 1, 2014.

Then, any illegal that has been in the US longer than 10 years will be given amnesty onto the path.

Any illegal here less than 10 years, but came before the cut-off date will be given amnesty to guest worker.

Any illegal that came after the cut-off date has to leave.

Also important, is who pays for this. If an illegal qualifies for amnesty to guest worker or amnesty onto the path, then his employer has to pay for it.

To some degree Carson is right about Guest Worker status for even most. Seriously, who the hell else is going to work? Sure not going to be the majority of blacks that are well set on the dole or the dumb-butt kids that play vid games day and night.

What Carson needs to add is that the “workers” get the Green Card, if they want their family ‘they’ have to support them, no more welfare.

And include a harsh penalty to employers who hire illegals who do not have the Green Card.

Once you cut off the welfare free-ride and the undocumented jobs, the illegals will slip right back into Mexico. Problem self solved.

Not sure if Gentle Ben is willing to go that far. Cruz and Trump probably already have that planned.

If he’s too stupid not to understand “illegal”, he’s too stupid to be POTUS.
