Yet another blow for us.

ah, at least we won that lawsuit against obamacare a few weeks ago. But then, he doesn’t listen to the law.

RE: I don’t think Australia will become like North Korea - even with those stupid carbon credit stuff.

In many ways, Australia is more free than the USA.

My point is this -— the terms we use are slowly losing their original meaning and just because a movement or a party uses some word to refer to themselves does not mean that it lives up to its original meaning.

I’ve had enough of people using words like “Affordable” “Good Education” “No Child Left Behind”, etc. And yes, that goes for the words “conservative” or “liberal”.

Between what you say and what you do, I’ll believe the latter thank you.

This is a change like Thatcher to Major or Reagan to GHWB. Abbott will have the opportunity in the not too distant future to say “I told you so.”

I am sure you are correct - I just wanted to throw it out there why the “conservative” party in Australia is called “Liberal”.

I thought it is the National Party that is the more conservative political party in Australia (our right). Liberal PArty more in the center and Australian Democrats/Greens to the left...

My brother lives in Melbourne. He told me that Australia has decided to accept 12,000 Syrian refugees.

RE: I thought it is the National Party that is the more conservative political party in Australia (our right).

Well, the National Party traditionally representing graziers, farmers, and rural voters. Their main role as giving a voice to Australians who live outside the country’s metropolitan areas. They have traditionally been anti-big union.

I am not certain, but there has been talks for sometime to MERGE with the Liberal Party.

My dad and brother always insisted that anyone lacking a visible upper lip was not to be trusted. I used to be skeptical but over time have noticed that their theory may have some validity. In Turnbull’s case the cold eyes over the forced smile are another “tell”.

Turnbull is a global warming fraudster, but that issue no longer sells down under.

So my question for Aussie Freepers is...does Turnbull support overturning Abbott's tough immigration restrictions and barring of welfare to homegrown Muslim radicals?

When I looked at the photos online I tried to get as neutral a shot as possible. There were a bunch that didn’t fit that. I am not that good at reading the faces of others but thanks for the tip. There might be something to it.

Electoral unpopularity, basically - largely caused by a feral and dishonest media. It’s panicked enough Liberal MPs that they might lose the next election under Abbott, and so they’ve shifted to Turnbull.

100% correct

Just from browsing information on him at wiki. Once a partner at Goldman Sachs, supports a carbon trading scheme and was once a member of an organization that wanted to change the Australian flag though apparently supports the flag now. Lots of globalist red flags in that resume.

Its been the trend in Australian politics in recent years for both major parties to change leadership out of fear of the polling data.

‘12,000’ is code for a hundred thousand minimum. Australians will have no way of ever knowing the true number that will be imported...until it’s too late demographically

New prime minister was once a partner at Goldman Sachs.

What a shocking surprise!
