OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma judge on Friday ordered that a monument to the Ten Commandments be removed from state Capitol grounds within 30 days, citing a state Supreme Court ruling that deemed the statues location unconstitutional.
Oklahoma County District Judge Thomas Prince handed down the ruling after rejecting an attempt by Attorney General Scott Pruitts office to prolong the legal fight. Prince noted that the states highest court ordered that the 6-foot-tall granite monument be removed.
Did he give a reason other than that he’s a liberal ahole? I just reread the First Amendment a number of times while doing something else and I can’t find a reason for them not to remain there. In fact, I found the opposite. Okay, I’m biased because I’m an American and I really don’t enjoy watch the collapse of my country.
Judicial Arrogance & Tyranny are so much more up front and Butch, big fella!

Somebody needs to tell Oklahoma that if Obama and cities can project lurid colors on the former white house and other buildings as a ‘secular’ monument to their appreciation of the religion of liberalism. The state can certainly have a rock dedicated to their secular appreciation of the cultural contributions of christianity. And no, they don’t have to give a devil statue ‘equal space’ since Obama certainly isn’t projecting national organization for marriage logos on to government buildings.
There is a silver lining to this; we no longer have to be reminded of our Christian roots that require us to give a damn (shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, etc.). I have found the last seven years to be very liberating in that while I’ve watched my country collapse & disappear, I’ve also gotten to watch some undesirables destroy themselves and each other at an accelerated rate. I’m doing as much for my country as the Bolshevik riff-raff who voted for Obama (though at least I am paying taxes).
So neat and tidy. Laws are messy and have to be written and agreed to, and voted on, and signed. This way is so much better.
Headline from the link:
Not Morgan Freeman.
The march to remove God from the public square marches forward unabated. The courts - all of them - are totally out of control and nobody cares.
Note that the 10th Amendment gives the state, or the people, the power to say yes or no to religious displays to public property. And in this case somebody has amended the the states constitution to say no to such displays. So noting that I havent read the Oklahoma constitution, based on the provided information the judge made the right decision in this case imo.
And if legal Oklahoma voters dont like the judges ruling, but dont get off of their couches to exercise their voting power or petitioning power to amend the state’s constitution to effectively overturn the judge’s decision, then that is the voters’ problem.
Even if it involved me dying earlier than this judge, I would love to be a spectator at his arrival at the Pearly Gates.
Soooooooo...what reason does he have other than a hatred for “thou shalt not steal, murder, bear false witness, commit adultery” etc?
Those sound like good laws to me..
Tell him to move it himself.
We’re not his bloody slaves.
Great point. I agree. However, I think that if Jefferson had known what a bunch American haters and their black-robed tyrants would do with his letter to the Danbury Baptists, he never would have mailed the damn thing.
From a ruling like this, he certainly is wayside, rocky or thorny in the parable of the Sower..
If he knew what part those Ten Commandments play in the Kingdom of Heaven, and the 30/60/100,I would hope he would see it much differently..
He should be a different kind of hanging judge, if you catch my drift.
Don’t take it down.
Use local law enforcement to protect it.
When are people in America going to FINALLY rise up against these tyrants, and REFUSE TO COMPLY? What powers do judges really have if the Marshals Service refuses to comply?
