Obama’s intelligence chief James Clapper is said to be in frequent and unusual contact with a military intelligence officer at the center of a growing scandal over rosy portrayals of the war against ISIS. National intelligence director Clapper is said to talk nearly every day with head of US Central Command’s intelligence wing, Army Major General Steven Grove – “which is highly, highly unusual”, says a former intelligence official.
Grove is implicated in a Pentagon inquiry into manipulated war intelligence.
Clapper, far senior to Grove, is said to tell Grove how the war looks from his vantage point, and question Grove about Central Command’s assessments. Such a situation could place inherent pressure on a subordinate.
In 2013 Clapper apologized to the US Senate for publicly misleading Congress on the scope of domestic surveillance.
“He can be manipulative,” a former senior defense official said. For Clapper as a senior US intelligence officer with access to assessments across the 16 US intelligence agencies to query Grove, the Central Command intelligence chief, the ex-official said, “something’s wrong”.
Clapper’s calls placed Grove in a difficult bureaucratic position: between the nominal leader of the entire US intelligence apparatus and his lower-level analysts, several of whom consider the war against Isis to be in dire straits.
Central Command analyst's dissatisfaction with Grove and his civilian deputy, Greg Ryckman, has now sparked an official inquiry by the Pentagon inspector general.
Over 50 intelligence analysts have registered complaints about manipulated or skewed data. Analysts object to internal portrayals, said to come ultimately from Grove and Ryckman, of a war proceeding better than Isis’s persistent hold over large swaths of Iraq and Syria suggests.
One source said Obama aides were not receptive to hearing “the narrative that Isis is winning”.

With US media covering for the Obama administration, I am not optimistic that anything concrete will result.

BACKSTORY---The Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF) is run by Malik (in Kenya)---to honor Malik and Obama's late dad. It was fast-tracked by Lois Lerner for IRS tax-exempt status.
The BHOF is based at a Virginia UPS store, according to its website. The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.
As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. The IRS thoughtfully gave the Obama Foundation retroactive fund-raising status.......which it stupidly never applied for.
To get tax-exempt status, the foundation cooked-up a mission statement: “to provide people everywhere with resources to uplift their welfare and living standards in memory of dad---Barack H. Obama: in the region of his birth, Kenya, and beyond.” Its guiding principle is “the inherent belief that no one can truly enjoy the riches he has reaped if his neighbor suffers....."We seek to elevate the human condition so that everyone can live in dignity and truly enjoy having one another as neighbors.”

Despite admitting to "raising" more than $250,000, the alleged charity doesn’t seem to have done much. Its website claims the organization has built a madrassa and was building an imam’s house as well as some “proposed latrines,” but there is no other evidence that the nonprofit was working to “mitigate social-shortcomings in areas of education and literacy, health and well-being, poverty, and lack of community infrastructure in such basic needs such as water, electricity, shelter and sustenance,” as the site says.
Alton Ray Baysden, a former Dept of State employee, allegedly a registered Republican, who helped start the Barack H Obama foundation, declined to comment before seeing copies of a reporter’s passport and govt ID, along with a description of the article’s “motivation” and “slant.”
Repeated reporters' phone calls went to the organization’s voicemail and were not returned.

Not necessarily. Consider the fact that your description is a perfect fit for Clapper’s boss. Since we know that is the case it could be that Clapper is actually an Einstein-level genius just following the boss’s orders.

The anti-war Lefties...the real ones...have got to be livid at Obama waging one war to oust Gaddafy (that led to such regional chaos that millions have become refugees) and another war against Assad inside Syria (where 4 million refugees have fled).
Hence, The Daily Beast does some actual reporting on the Intelligence reports being sanitized into happy talk for Obama.
Can you imagine that the Egyptian people had the nerve not to accept Obama’s attempt to hand their country over to the muslim brotherhood?

It’s anyone’s guess what motives lie behind it, but I was shocked to read this decent reporting from the Beast.
Could be Hillary, could be anti-war people. I guess it’s possible that it’s a great story from a reporter’s view, though normally I don’t associate reporting facts with leftists.
My point was simply this has been perking just below the surface for a few days now. I guess if Trump would mention it THEN it would get some coverage;)
