His ratings tanked the second night. I believe a lot of people weren’t familiar with him and tuned in the first night. They saw all they needed.

I hope he gets dumped. He may have one funny line every few shows but that’s just not enough to sustain an audience.

We already have Bill Maher. There is room for only so many of those types.

Here in Houston, the local See-BS affiliate KHOU has been hawking this show endlessly and showing "highlights" during the morning newscasts (just as the local ABC affiliate does updates on Dancing With the Stars Has-Beens and the NBC affiliate covers The Voice). From what I have seen, Colbert is not only not funny, but he is aggressively not funny. I've seen guys who were not funny on shows like this (such as Letterman in his "bitter old fart" years), but I don't think I have seen "not funny" displayed with the intensity Colbert brings to the art. He really is even less funny than he was on his Colbert Report.
