Russia tells Washington: talk to us over Syria or risk 'unintended incidents'

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia called on Friday for Washington to restart direct military-to-military cooperation to avert "unintended incidents" near Syria, at a time when U.S. officials say Moscow is building up forces to protect President Bashar al-Assad's government.

The United States is leading a campaign of air strikes against Islamic State fighters in Syrian air space, and a greater Russian presence would raise the prospect of the Cold War superpower foes encountering each other on the battlefield.

Both Moscow and Washington say their enemy is Islamic State. But Russia supports the government of Assad, while the United States says his presence makes the situation worse.

In recent days, U.S. officials have described what they say is a buildup of Russian equipment and manpower.

Well since Obama is Soro’s man it would still be the same results...we had people in there...who are also in Russia stirring that nest.

If Assad falls watch the Alawites become the next refugees fleeing Syria....

At the rate Syria is going I suspect events to unfold and in time Damascus will be leveled.....50% of the citizens are out and with this fast rescue of all Syrians out...and the coalition forming up to go after ISIS....we’ve got some nasty days coming regarding Syria........the Syrian refugees will not be temporary in other countries...there will be nothing to go home to.

Well since Obama is Soro’s man

Obama, Putin, and the Chicoms, are basically on the same page regarding the 'new international order': weaker US, stronger Russia and China. Obama has shown Putin his "flexibility" on missile defense and nukes. He has bent over backwards appeasing him (pun intended).

From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:
"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."

China and Russia to build major seaport: report

China and Russia will build one of the largest ports in north-east Asia on Russia’s Sea of Japan coast, reports say, in a further sign of the powerhouses’ growing alliance.

Obama: "We Welcome China's Rise"

Mar 2012...

"Obama was talking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when neither of them realized that their conversation was being picked up by microphones. Here is what they said:

Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space.”

Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ...”

Obama: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” That statement tells us much about the president’s mindset.

The specific mention of missile defense is worrisome enough. Mr. Obama has retreated from the missile defense plan that was negotiated with European allies during the George W. Bush administration. Apparently, he is signaling Moscow that he intends to retreat further. The clear implication from the president’s comments is that he cannot tell the American people before the election what he plans to do after the election.

In addition, there is the phrase “on all these issues,” implying more is at stake than just missile defense.”

Article: Obama plans double cross on missile defense
When it comes to keeping America safe, we shouldn’t be too flexible:

From Investor’s Business Daily, Jan 2012:

Obama To Betray Missile Defense Secrets To Moscow
Investor's Business Daily ^ | January 9, 2012 | IBD staff

Appeasement: From ObamaCare to recess appointments, honoring the Constitution has not been an administration hallmark. But when it comes to betraying secrets to mollify the Russians, it becomes a document the president hides behind.

It was bad enough that the 2012 defense authorization bill signed by President Obama set America on a downward spiral of military mediocrity.

He also issued a signing statement, something he once opposed, saying that language in the bill aimed at protecting top-secret technical data on the U.S. Standard Missile-3 — linchpin of our missile defense — might impinge on his constitutional foreign-policy authority.

Section 1227 of the defense law prohibits spending any funds that would be used to give Russian officials access to sensitive missile-defense technology as part of a cooperation agreement without first sending Congress a report identifying the specific secrets, how they'd be used and steps to protect the data from compromise.

The president is required to certify that any technology shared will not be passed on to third parties such as China, North Korea or Iran, that the Russians will not use transferred secrets to develop countermeasures and that the Russians are reciprocating in sharing missile-defense technology. ..."

“In his signing statement, Obama said he would treat these legal restrictions as “non-binding” and that “my administration will also interpret and implement section 1244 (sic) in a manner that does not interfere with the president’s constitutional authority to conduct foreign affairs and avoids the undue disclosure of sensitive diplomatic communications.”

Betraying our secrets is easy for a president who betrayed allies Poland and the Czech Republic to placate Moscow.

Poland was to host ground-based interceptors such as those we’ve deployed in California and Alaska, with missile-tracking radar deployed in the Czech Republic.

Obama pulled the plug when Moscow objected. Never mind, he said, we have a better approach: a four-phase plan that calls for using three versions of the Navy’s Standard SM-3 interceptor missile that forms the backbone of its Aegis missile-defense system.

The fourth phase consists of a missile still on the drawing board scheduled for deployment by 2020, a version of the SM-3 called the Block IIB. It would intercept hostile missiles in the “early intercept” phase before an enemy missile could release its warheads and decoys. The Russians want the SM-3’s secrets, and Obama appears to be willing to turn them over.

The president wants to save the New Start Treaty, which the Russians have threatened to abandon if we try to fully implement President Reagan’s dream of defeating a nuclear missile attack.

Russia has unilaterally asserted that any qualitative or quantitative improvement in U.S. missile defenses would be grounds for withdrawal from the treaty.

We had political organizers in Syria yet, people criticize this administration for not voicing opposition to protesters being crushed in Syria and Iran. Okay. I know that was the case that people criticized Obama for not speaking against the protests crushed in Iran.

Ho, Ho, Ho. So, the US had organizers on the ground in Syria like in Ukraine in the protests but the US did not raise a voice against the crushing of Protesters in Syria as in Iran until it was too late. Oh, looks like the Putin supporters have their ducks in a row here, doesn't it? Ho, Ho, Ho. This is more like showing what a tall tale their excuse for violence in Ukraine is.

I took my world map out the other day to see where the bulk of these Muslims are being placed......and interesting even the Muslims are dead set to go to particular nations....if you check you’ll see Germany located in the heart of Europe....France is already succumbed to a Muslim population ....Sweden/Finland (muslims are tracking the artic way to there now as security put out an alert)and Turkey.....A three prong attack on Europe would be a piece of cake once they are all in position.

A Huge Arms shipment near Greece was confiscated the other day earmarked as ‘Syrian Refugee Humanitary Aid”....but no documentation on board.....and three African Muslim shipping boats loaded with Africans near Alexandria Egypt...unusual event.....Hungary also detained two Islamic Militants dressed as refugees in one of the groups sliding in from Serbia....and these are just the ones being reported.......Europe and the UN are trying hard not to tell the real story and keep the press in control...

What a mess!!!

Bead...I understand your passion against Russia...but if for a minute you could temper that and look at a world map to see “where “ the players are each operating....and the ultimate orchestrated events happening you would see that what's going on in the world isn't about taking sides (for us) it's about seeing the whole picture of how International Leaders are shaping the entire World for their governance....

Monday the European Commission is meeting at the EU...this is a HIGH stakes meeting....and centers on the refugee distribution....if you do listen to how THEY are using vocabulary to deter from what they are really doing on a World scale.....The leaders really don;t care about the refugees or peoples.....only those they can continue to use to sustain them in power and revenue.....

The International leaders know that the US has no power and is no longer the leader of the World....that's gone....they have moved ahead now and everything will now be focused on what Germany does...just as we have seen....at least presently.

Should Trump gain the Presidency he will focus on the states security....and trade worldwide...but will have no leverage with the going ons in Europe and the ME apart from assistance of of our military....and that will be limited.

Too much info there for me to tangle with ETL...how about you sum what you think the media is saying from the links.

But I will comment on the fact that China ‘isn’t’ on board with the Globalist agenda...nor is Russia....they are the opposing force against it with ambitions for World domination themselves.....but they are certainly “play acting” the role...they want the beginnings of that order because they desire themselves to take it over.

Events later will also show Russia’s defeat on the world stage with very limited power...which China will step into that vacum fully...........but will also fail.

Europe will be the focus....just as we see it shaping up..as for Obama...they don’t care what he thinks....he has no power with them.

...”Israel has become the big issue here, now that the E.U. has made it’s stand on a one state solution”... if Europe is going to buy into that mindset, Russia can have ‘em.”....

Yes, wasn’t that an astounding development.....I really didn’t expect the European opposition against Israel to increase that far that quick...although all the elements showed heading that direction for sometime. Obamas simply empowered them all to go however they want....he has zero respect on the World Stage now..they simply give him courtesy...if that. He used so many strongarm tactics with Europe to get them to bend against their better judgement that they are done with him now.......and he’s leaving them with the mess he orchestrated...they hate him....

Obama’s Muslim puppet masters said so, I guess. Still wonder what sissy-boy’s comment to the Putin aide meant, what was the treasonous jerk saying? What was supposed to happen after he election? Was he giving Syria to Russia?

And item which may be of interest:

Back in February of this year, according to the NYTimes, Obama’s “white house” held a meeting on “countering extremism” in the US and abroad with the head of Russian Feberal Security Service [think KGB] but excluded the FBI’s James Comey. Sources say he was excluded because the administration didn’t want the meeting to be focused on - get this- “law enforcement issues.”

Too much info? I highlighted what I considered the important bits in bold type. You didn't need to click on the links. The links are there mainly to provide credibility. If I had given my version of what some news report said it wouldn't have nearly the credibility. This, IMO, is part of the reason the country is in the mess we are in today: people being too lazy, or whatever, to read up on things. Forget about taking the time and energy to do their own research and hunt things down for themselves.

I understand that is their ultimate goal. But the first step, obviously by their joint actions and agreements, is to work closely together in cooperation to take us and our allies on. Once we're (in their scheme) out of the way, I'm sure Russia at least will focus on becoming the top world power. They are still dealing with the humiliations of the Reagan era. They want desperately to return in a big way.

As one of my excerpts points out, Putin actually believes the COLLAPSE of the murderous communist Soviet Union was the worst thing that happened in the 20th Century! Not all the terrible things that happened to people under Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, etc, etc. In all, about 100 million people were murdered by these monsters. Yet Putin believes the DEMISE of the Soviet Union was the worst thing that happened in the 20th Cen??

We just got the clearest sign yet that Russia doesn't really care about fighting ISIS in Syria
Business Insider ^ | 12 Sep 15 | Natasha Bertrand

Moscow will reportedly provide Russian troops in Syria with an advanced antiaircraft missile system as part of its military support for Syrian president Bashar Assad.

"This system is the advanced version used by Russia, and it's meant to be operated by Russians in Syria," a Western diplomat who is regularly briefed on US, Israeli, and other intelligence assessments told Reuters.

And as The Daily Beast's Michael Weiss points out, any antiaircraft missiles deployed by Russian troops in Syria won't be directed at ISIS, since ISIS has no air force.

In fact, none of the rebels do — only government forces have access to aircraft.

Russia has substantially increased its military presence in Syria over the past two weeks under the guise of helping the embattled Assad fight ISIS and other extremists.

And now that US and Russian fighter jets are flying side-by-side — the US has been launching airstrikes against ISIS since mid-2014, and Russian drones and fighter planes are reportedly surveilling non-ISIS rebels in the country's north — Moscow sees it as an opportunity to force Washington to come to the table.

First the Shah of Iran, a secular leader was kicked out during Jimmy Carter’s term. Then Egypt’s Mubarak, a secular leader was ousted by Obama. Them Kaddafi, another secular leader was ousted which led to Muslim extremist overrunning the country and now Obama want’s to take out Assad, while a genuine bad guy, is more stable than Isis.

Is there a pattern going on?
