As I'm sure it was the case for many, it was 9/11 that led me to discover Free Republic. Later that week (9/16) during my men's Sunday School class, I mentioned that since I was on dialup, getting news about the muzzie attack via the internet was difficult. One of my classmates told me about Free Republic and that it was a good site not only in terms of content but that its clean design was superb for those of us stuck with 9600 bps throughput. Indeed it was...and still is. In fact, FR was so dialup-friendly that I only upgraded to a faster service about five years ago when I took the plunge and signed up in 2010 after lurking for nearly nine years.

As I reflect on that day -- still fresh in my mind -- more than ever America needs Bible-based Conservative leadership using every possible means to accomplish this goal:

My apologies to the innocent victims of today's cowardly attack on our free republic, but I believe there are some questions we need to be asking ourselves right now---

When the smoke clears, and retribution is exacted, will the United States of America ever be the same?

Or will this be the perfect cover for those who would destroy what remains of our personal freedom as Americans?

Out of of fear, will the sheeple cry for even more restraints on our liberty than have already been exacted, and welcome tyranny with open arms?

I believe these are all very important questions to begin to consider on this Black Tuesday.

I hope and pray that in the days ahead, Free Republic will be a center of opposition to that move against the Bill of Rights which is almost surely to come.

Where were YOU on September 11th, 2001?

I was 13 Years old in 8th Grade. This we before the ear of Ubiquitous Cell Phones and Media so we were kept in the Dark until bout 10:50 CST when I arrived in History Class, which had a TV, Just in time watch the Towers Begin to Fall.

I literally couldn't believe it.
