Sharing the stage with Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina at next weeks Republican presidential debate will be Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, Chris Christie and John Kasich.
WASHINGTON Eleven Republican presidential candidates have qualified for next weeks prime-time debate, a slate that features the full diversity of the GOPs 2016 class and is believed to be the largest group to share a presidential-debate stage in modern political history.
The candidates scheduled to meet for Wednesdays prime-time affair, announced Thursday night by debate host CNN, will include former technology executive Carly Fiorina, whose weak polling numbers kept her off the main stage of the first debate. But a bump in the polls and an aggressive lobbying effort persuaded CNN to broaden its participation criteria, a coup for Fiorina and GOP officials eager to feature the partys only 2016 female candidate in the nationally televised clash.
But dont expect Fiorina to get as much airtime as Donald Trump, who will be positioned front and center when the candidates meet at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif. The undisputed leader in national polls, Trump is generally considered the biggest reason why Fox News Channel reached 24 million people for the first GOP presidential debate last month the most-watched program in Fox News history.

And the profits will be going to veterans groups? Hmm?
I’ve always had CNN blocked in my home. I don’t know how to unblock it and I’m not going to waste my time trying to figure out how to do it. I’ll know everything I need to know by coming here where there is some sanity and a lot of common sense.
Would the ratings be higher if she kissed Trump or slapped him? Or both?
I vote for both, but that’s me :)
Have that problem with cable solved—no TV.
No. But,
This is the GOPe RNC run debate so of course they put her in.
Think she’ll get a makeover before then???
Wonder what kinds of traps CNN and the other candidates are setting for Trump.
As I said when I saw he was actually going to run, he better have a really good and thick asbestos suit. Ironman is going to get flamed big time.
These aren’t debates, their a Springer episode. CNN and FOX are only interested in tabloid gotcha equation. There is nothing of substance that will be uncovered. Why even bother, if we just want to embarrass the candidate we can read their twitter feeds.
So there are going to be five candidates in the first debate and eleven candidates in the second debate.
She’s as great a “conservative” as Trump. Why not?
A person could take a file to those bottom teeth for starters....
Fiorina, Paul or Christie shouldn’t be on the stage. All are polling in single digits.
She always looks like she’s talking through clenched teeth. And I’d bet that, proverbially, she is.
Oh goody. I simply can’t wait to hear what she has to say. /sarc
Eleven is too may to get any serious policy debate, it’s just a beauty contest. CNN changed the rules to get Fiorina on the panel.
Santorum, Perry, Jindal, and Graham didn’t make it, so it’s likely safe to assume they are DONE.
Jindal’s Trunmp attacks today seemed like a desperate attempt to get coverage, ANY coverage, before the debate.
