House Republican leaders are facing a revolt by GOP lawmakers over plans to vote on a measure to disapprove of the Iran nuclear deal.
Speaker John Boehner and other GOP leaders got an earful Wednesday morning from lawmakers who say President Barack Obama has not disclosed so-called "side deals" between the International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran, and therefore is crosswise with the law that gives Congress review power over the accord.
GOP leaders are likely to change their approach Wednesday, and are now considering a vote on Rep. Peter Roskam's (R-Ill.) resolution that would delay a disapproval vote because they believe Obama has not disclosed some elements of the deal.
Boehner on Wednesday said House Republicans "had a very healthy conversation with our members this morning.
"Certainly (there is) some interest amongst the ideas offered by [Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo], Mr. Roskam," Boehner said. "We're going to continue to have those conversations this morning."
But there's not much time. The House is scheduled to have a procedural vote Wednesday afternoon on the disapproval resolution. But Republicans are also considering delaying the Iran vote.

Sorry, but the cynic in me sees this as kabuki theater.
Good old drunk golfing John is afraid his tab is due
...boner is the one standing in the way of this vote...
Actually it was reported the Republican leadership wants this deal. In this deal when Iran gets nukes they blame Democrats.
They fear by calling this a Tready and stopping it that when nukes come the country blames Republicans.
Yep, not about the best for America, allies and the world. It is about politics tha means NOTHING.
Totally. This is all theater and nothing more.
We have a couple of years left:

Louis Gohmert said this morning that this is all for show the decision has already been made.
We’d better upgrade our sunscreen
Yes all these politicians do is put on a show of protest and then they vote to empower obama to destroy the USA. The Iran deal is just the latest example . Also see TPA and Obama trade ,executive amnesty etc.
They don’t need suitcase nukes. Getting a nuclear weapon to a seaboard city is easy peasy. New York City may have five years left at best.
I like the idea of a vote “for” the deal, rather than against. The “for” vote should require the 2/3 majority required for a Treaty. After the “for” vote fails, Congress would have standing to sue and enjoin the President to prevent unilateral implementation.
Yeah, it’s a good thing they woke up from their 60 day nap.
I have often noted that they are indeed revolting.
Now there’s an example of logic and reason. While what remains of your radioactive molecules is drifting downwind from ground zero, they’ll be screaming, “It’s the Democrats’ fault!”
The House of Representatives has no role in the making of treaties.
Horrible writing. It’s difficult to see who actually opposes Obama’s “deal”. Maybe that’s on purpose, to give Boehner cover.
