Computer anti-virus creator John McAfee, the self-described "eccentric millionaire"-turned-fugitive from Belize, filed paperwork Tuesday to run for president — of the United States — as a third-party candidate.

"I am founding a new party yet to be announced," McAfee, who turns 70 next week, said in a statement of candidacy filed with the Federal Election Commission, which was first reported by the political newspaper The Hill. A campaign website soon appeared.

[ McAfee denied any involvement in the slaying, and he was never declared a suspect by Belize authorities — although they did sell off his seized assets in the country. ]

How the Bleep does this make him a “Fugitive”????

Freeking Smear Job by guess who, the LSM...

McAfee is a brilliant crackpot.

McAfee was pre-loaded on my Windows 7 machine when I bought it 4 years ago.
I didn’t use it.

I went with PC Matic about 2 months ago. Anyone that does Anti-Virus ads with an AR-15, and his Carry weapon in a holster on his belt, is OK with me!

The only thing I thought that could be worse than McAffee would be that annoying Pc-Matic with the wife that gets her dufus husband’s keys for the car so she can hook up with some random guys while he tries to fix her computer because it’s running slow.

I didn’t think anyone would use either of those. Same thoughts on Nortons which seems they preyed on the gullibility of people when the internet was new and now people know better. Symantec harms your computer more than helps it. It’s been that way since Im going to say again 1998.

> he can’t even run his scam outfit right...

PEOPLE: John McAfee has not been associated with McAfee software for 15+ years. He resigned in 1994 from the company he created. He hates it.

Don't blame John McAfee for McAfee Software -- it's nothing like what he created long ago, when it was pretty good.

John McAfee is a maniac, but he's also brilliant and has nothing to lose by talking and shooting straight. I for one welcome his entry into this election cycle.
