You feel like youre in romantic purgatory.
Its real. Its not a hazy paranoia.
And its not a matter of being too fat or too loud, too timid or too aggressive, too slutty or too frigid. If youre a single, college-educated woman in Manhattan, the cards of love are stacked in favor of you remaining singlebut it has nothing to do with texting a guy too soon or (not) sleeping with someone on a third date.
As financial reporter and author of Date-Onomics: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game, Jon Birger puts it, Its not that Hes Just not That Into You. Its that There Arent Enough of Him.

“EDDEEEEEEE! I WANT TO TALK TO YOOOOOOOOOOO.............What have you done for me lately??.........HALF!!!!”
Now, that is a helluva post!
The academic world spends 24/7 telling young men they are unnecessary and that pretty much everything they do is wrong. Then educated women wonder where all the men of strong character have gone.
Reminds me of the CS Lewis quote:
We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.
“If a man is alone in a forest and his wife isn’t around to hear him....is he still wrong?”
Dennis Prager now warns parents that unless their kids are going to study the life sciences or physical sciences, do not send them to college, they will be infected with leftism.
Young men will have to learn to be... I can’t think of the word, but it means, self-taught through reading.
Tell that wench to STFU and make me a sammich.
I love these stories for the romance of them. Call me old-fashion, but that is the way love and marriage should be.
I have a brother who was driven screaming off a college campus that was overrun with radical Feminists. He is 46 and still a bachelor. I guess being told multiple times a day that “you have a penis, ergo, you SUCK!” has an effect over time.
Read her sign. Says she’s a “future abortion provider”
She’s protesting in support of her future income and financial security, and from the look on her face is VERY angry at the people who want to take it away.
I hope you found someone who appreciated your virtues. The other ones are going on all women retreats in the Yucatan calling for empowerment and going to sleep secretly reading old Harlequin novels.
Oh my God we are a perfect match in hell. I couldn't train him to leave the seat down!!!
In my house, the toilet lid goes down before the flush. A toilet can fling droplets up to 6 feet during a flush--and we all know what goes into that toilet water, and thus, the droplets.
I'd rather keep that filthy stuff on the inside of the toilet lid than have the bathroom sprayed with it.
Plus, keeping the lid down keeps the cats out of the toilet.
“A toilet can fling droplets up to 6 feet during a flush—and we all know what goes into that toilet water, and thus, the droplets.”
Yes!! Mythbusters had a segment on that. Flushing with the lid up resulted in e-coli everywhere, including on toothbrushes several feet away, even separated by a wall. Gross.
I think business schools are still pretty safe, too. There’s still indoctrination, but there are professors left who are grounded enough in reality to allow it to be challenged.
Glad to be of service! (-:
The last sentence would have resulted in a “spit take” if I had been drinking anything. :-)
Well played, Sir.
Or maybe too many women are going to college and wasting time and money there.
That X100.
I know I'm getting old, but when I was in school, boys routinely dominated the classrooms. The reformers since then have hammered the schools on many fronts (sometimes appropriately), and one of their abiding causes has been to make modes of instruction more girl friendly. Mission accomplished. But the reformers seem to have overshot the mark.
If one mode of instruction seemed systematically to have favored the boys, and if its replacement seems systematically to favor the girls, maybe we should consider the possibility that boys and girls are different (and not both just social constructs ....) and reconsider single sex education. That might be easier than trying to rebalance curriculum and discipline to hit some mystical mean that doesn't play to the strengths of either sex.
