You feel like youre in romantic purgatory.
Its real. Its not a hazy paranoia.
And its not a matter of being too fat or too loud, too timid or too aggressive, too slutty or too frigid. If youre a single, college-educated woman in Manhattan, the cards of love are stacked in favor of you remaining singlebut it has nothing to do with texting a guy too soon or (not) sleeping with someone on a third date.
As financial reporter and author of Date-Onomics: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game, Jon Birger puts it, Its not that Hes Just not That Into You. Its that There Arent Enough of Him.

"In my house, the toilet lid goes down before the flush. A toilet can fling droplets up to 6 feet during a flush--and we all know what goes into that toilet water, and thus, the droplets. I'd rather keep that filthy stuff on the inside of the toilet lid than have the bathroom sprayed with it."

I got my husband to comment on your remark;)
Mr. Lulu here.
I do some guest lecturing at a MBA program on entrepreneurship. In this particular class, we were evaluating business plans. When I pointed out the rather obvious flaw in one of them that the business didn’t make any money, I was informed that making money was not the point; it was societal progress. Everyone seemed to agree, except me, who was dumbfounded.
Yes, the business schools are infected, too.

Correct! thank-you.
Prager even suggested that to help young people become autodidacts, he would seek out reading list from people he admire.

Someone reads the good book regularly... Lessons we could have learned instead of bringing them upon ourselves. I left behind many of my bitter single girlfriends in LA. It’s a sad life, but they put on a brave front.

Not that its a good idea for a man to date a woman who earns more than he does. Defying those instincts are not easy for anyone, but especially for a woman. So most likely she will be unhappy in that relationship and she will let him know it. I have seen this scenario play out far too many times both in my family and that of friends. "Stay at Home Dads" are a very rare species with long-term marriages!

Catherine, I did read it. But only the lists. I did not catch that part. Amazing isn’t it that what they want, they don’t heed, but making the conditions so.
I used to tell my friends that were aggressive with men: there will be a time when he is used to you pulling all the night moves and then you will be weary and unromanced and desired. Then what? All for naught.

And while it’s not as true as it used to be, there are still many women who go to college in search of the Mrs. degree.

You know, theres nothing wrong with letting a man know youre interested...in fact, it helps.
Bingo. Personally, that is all I ever wanted/needed - a sign that a young lady was interested. I, personally, am not fond of overly aggressive females.

College educated men and women have a lot in common, both are in search of a supportive wife.

You make a good point that I never thought of, and one that never entered into my arguments with my friends. It’s true, though.
The sexes are different. I don’t like game-playing, but I think men enjoy the chase—as long as they know the woman is interested-—and women enjoy being pursued.

"Bingo. Personally, that is all I ever wanted/needed - a sign that a young lady was interested. I, personally, am not fond of overly aggressive females." Yep. When I was single, it was always my experience that a man WOULD let me know if he was interested. I didn't have to push.

Not sure how much authority a "guest lecturer" has ... but he should give them ALL a failing grade. The market will certainly do so.

Catherine, I am sorry for all my typos from haste. Thank-you for you comment and adding to the discourse. Natural energy comes from the chase instinct.
Women who are high in testosterone also tend to seek women. Ying and yang, God created man and woman to be his mate. You can’t have a marriage, a union, with the same, uhmn, fittings, positive and negative attract, positive and positive repel.
The way I told my friends to show they were interested in a man’s attention. Just smile back and wait.
