Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while “There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country” the US should “help as much as possible” with the European refugee crisis and “possibly” let some refugees into the US on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, “Should we be letting some of those people into this country?”
He answered, “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

Because this has been talked about for a while now. Everyone even before Trump was saying it in the media. I didn’t even know that Trump said it. I thought I also heard one of the conservative talk show host talking about it a while back.

Of course no one wants more refugees. We take in so many fleeing from so many problem spots around the world already.
The issue is ISIS, which wouldn’t exist if we still had significant military bases in Iraq to keep Iran and Syria in check. Obama squandered that and here we go again into Iraq for the eighth time (?) since my teenage years.
And if Europe doesn’t want ISIS inside their borders, they better kick in some significant help this time.
Refugee talk is supposed to distract and dissuade us from taking further action against ISIS.
This is exactly why thinking people ask questions rather than follow...unlike so many of Trumps followers and especially the followers on FR!

What onyx posted bears repeating. I think a good rule is to disregard anything the msm says until you read it yourself. I almost missed the true gist of what Trump said and had it not been for someone posting it in its entirety, I might have believed Trump said something he really didn’t.
