Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while Theres only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country the US should help as much as possible with the European refugee crisis and possibly let some refugees into the US on Fridays broadcast of MSNBCs Morning Joe.
Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, Should we be letting some of those people into this country?
He answered, So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. Its like incredible whats going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

Leopards don't change their spots.
This reminds me, I asked a Trump supporter if Anthony Weiner were to say the things Trump is saying, would he support him? He said yes, if Weiner were to "suddenly become conservative".
I kid you not, "suddenly become conservative" just doesn't happen. But some believe it can.
Trump is a liberal.
Good work.
“Version #1: Figure it out later.
The first thing we have to do is strengthen our borders. And after that, were
going to have plenty of time to talk about it. (July 23)”
That was Ted Cruz’s version to Megan Kelly about ten days ago. To me, weasel words for amnesty.
Version #2: Figure it out now. Deport the bad ones. Work out something so the good ones can stay.
If somebodys been outstanding, we try and work something out. (July 24)
Basic U.S. immigration policy dating back a hundred years.
Version #3: Deport the bad ones. Maybe let some of the good ones stay. Were going to do whats right. Some are going to have to go. And some, were just going to see what happens. (July 26)
Same as version#2
Version #4: Deport everybody.
But the good ones of which there are many I want to expedite it so they can come back in legally. (July 27)
Same as version #2 and #3
Version #5: Maybe dont deport everybody.
Dana Bash, CNN: What about the Dreamers? What about people who came here when they were children, they didnt know what they were doing, they came with their parents who brought them here illegally?... Should they have to
leave, too?
Trump: Theyre with their parents? It depends. (July 29)
Not that much different from the foregoing.
Version #6: Deport everybody, the sequel.
Chuck Todd, NBC: [talking about the Dreamers] Youre going to kick them out?
Trump: They have to go. (Sunday, on Meet the Press.)
....
Sounds like he has had enough quibbling over the questions. Also, you have to factor in his consultation with Senator Jeff Sessions, when it happened, who is an expert on illegal immigration and the perils thereof.
I cannot think of one single good reason to accept these invaders. I agree we already have an invasion, and none of these countries has offered to help us.
Great point.
What say you about this statement on Syrian refugees(from a year ago)? Quote starts at minute one of video.
“We have welcomed refugees, the tired huddled masses, for centuries. That’s been the history of the United States. We should continue to do so... We have to make sure those coming are not affiliated with terrorists, but we can do that.”
I wonder what RINO bastard made this quote? Was it Donald Trump? El Jeb Bush? No, by God it was Superman extraordinaire Ted Cruz. Holy guacamole. Did your head just explode or what?

Go to hell, Trump.
This Cruz’s statement is far more to the left than Trump’s. Very disappointing since until now he was my first choice. Not a patriotic thing to say.
Did he say what you said he said? No he didn't.
Your entitled to your opinion. I believe that voting for someone who has no voting record to back up their policies is a huge mistake.
I don’t know what candidate you are speaking of but both Ted Cruz and Scott Walker worked for a short time in the private sector. He also worked for a Cruz as an attorney & law clerk for some judges including SC Justice Renquist. Scott Walker worked for a short time in fundraising.
Cruz is also an award winning debater. He also worked on the policy team for GWB 2000 campaign and was on his legal team that helped secure the presidency for Bush during the FL recall. He argued cases in front of the SC while he was solicitor general for the state of Texas.
Cruz also has been a student of the Constitution and debate since his high school years. He was a member of the Free Enterprise Institute which schooled young people about the free market economy. Within that group he joined with fellow students to focus on the Constitution and traveled around the state giving speeches about it. He is a champion debater.
He has a strong religious background. Religious conservative Robert George was one of Cruz’s mentors.
He worked again in private practice before running for the Senate representing the state of TX.
So you see, there is a RECORD of what Ted Cruz stands for besides his voting record in the Senate. No, his voting record isn’t perfect. I think Mike Lee has a better one but he isn’t running. We know what Cruz thinks about the Constitution. We know that he has been a long-time Christian and conservative.
The nice thing about not having a voting record is that your votes don’t come back to haunt you. You can say or promise whatever you want to make people believe.
Cruz has a point when he says “Don’t tell me you are conservative. SHOW me where you have stood for conservative values”.
Donald Trump has shown that he has little knowledge of the Constitution or the law. Oh yes, he will delegate. But to whom? You can’t vote for a guy on promises that he will delegate to others every time he is asked a question to which he doesn’t know the answer.
Donald Trump is a get it done kind of guy used to delegating to others what he wants done. He has an idea and he tells them to go do it, get it done or your fired. It doesn’t work that way in DC.
If you think that the Congress won’t work with Cruz and will give him a hard time wait until you see what they will do to Donald Trump.
My FRiend, please put no faith in any one candidate so much as the patriots and good people of the USA.
This primary is heady stuff. Trump is a real shock to the system. But he’s just one man who needs to be a quick study. He’s pleasantly surprised me for the most part so far. But we FReepers should keep ‘unplugged’ from any one personality. Each moment like this is an opportunity for all candidates, Trump included. He’s fast on his feet.
So now you're accusing Freepers of anti-Semitism because they don't want Middle Eastern refugees flooding into our country?
Wow. Incredible.
Oh no another poster offended by “get lost”?
It’s amazing, really.
Not too long ago, this forum understood that Ted Cruz is the best candidate since Ronald Reagan. I remember the anticipation and the will-he-or-won’t he as we waited to see if he would announce a run.
He did. We got the type of candidate conservatives have been waiting for.
And now some of them are finding any excuse to denigrate him in order to boost the reality-show celebrity they’ve fallen in love with.
Trump’s intent is not the same as Obamas. He is looking at the situation as a humanitarian crisis. We know Obama has a more wicked intent. Plus Trump did not say in certainty that he would let any of them in because of the problems we already have with immigration. He said possibly meaning he would look into it more before making any final decision.
This so-called humanitarian crisis is ISIS's secret weapon. They are forcing out their enemies and also sending their own people to Europe and now our "leaders" and the media push for ISIS's agenda. It's a win-win for ISIS.
Watch this about Cruz.

What is Trump going to say no they are Muslims can’t do it. Isis wants to invade our country! They will say he is a kook! Please people get a hold of yourselves! He is not going to now sound like conspiracy kook.
Very soon, the time may come when saying such things will not make one sound like a kook, even to liberals.
None of the Third Worlders we take in assimilate, and they haven't for a long time now. What makes you think these would be different?
