Kim Davis released the following statement a few days ago:
I have worked in the Rowan County Clerks office for 27 years as a Deputy Clerk and was honored to be elected as the Clerk in November 2014, and took office in January 2015. I love my job and the people of Rowan County. I have never lived any place other than Rowan County. Some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well. This year we are on track to generate a surplus for the county of 1.5 million dollars.
In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.
I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with Gods definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and Gods Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Our history is filled with accommodations for peoples religious freedom and conscience. I want to continue to perform my duties, but I also am requesting what our Founders envisioned that conscience and religious freedom would be protected. That is all I am asking. I never sought to be in this position, and I would much rather not have been placed in this position. I have received death threats from people who do not know me. I harbor nothing against them. I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience.
Is that your solution? Just quit? Just surrender to the Tyrannical Judiciary. Don't take a stand.
Is that your solution? Really?
George Washington faced down the strongest army in the history of the world. He had NO CHANCE of prevailing. He lost almost every battle he fought.
Would you have been on the sidelines suggesting in 1781 that he should QUIT?
Here’s the latest from he attorneys...and the group representing her appears to be solid....from their web site....

Kim Davis, the Woman Behind Bars

Mat Staver told press outside the Carter County Detention Center that he spoke with Kim Davis, and she is in good spirits. Kim is very touched by all the support she feels from people literally around the world.
Despite being held as a prisoner for her religious beliefs, her conscience remains unshackled.
’ Liberty Counsel’ will challenge Judge Bunnings contempt order and her unlawful confinement. Kim is resolute in her decision to challenge the issuance of any marriage certificate bearing her name without her authority.
Kim’s last words before leaving were, All is well.
Due to the ones who are committing an abomination. They are anti-G-d, which, I guess, means they are Satanic. Whoa. First time I realized that’s what homosexuals are.
He could have?
I think you’re right, that Hashem is using this lady.
“If we lose this war, the entire system collapses. “
Truer words have never been spoken.
Many don’t realize that the Republic can not survive with out a strong moral foundation.
The left in this country, and around the world have been chipping away at that foundation for years.
If we don’t begin there, no matter what we try to rebuild of the structure of the Republic, it will not stand on a weak, and Godless foundation.
No matter how much we wish it so.
Prayers up for Kim Davis.
No, that’s not my solution, but that’s the solution of a lot of people here.
Apparently so. We have our own contingent of “Move On” conservatives here.
me too ;). thank you Father for Jesus.
...”Prayers up for Kim Davis”....
Indeed....and for all Christians who need to understand exactly as Jim spoke firmly regarding this case.....this has to be won....
The battle lines are being drawn and they are spiritual, we are seeing the physical effects of this positioning in the heavens. Most will not be prepared. The pawns like the homosexuals will be hated by those who shout tolerance now.
The war is pretty much lost. Look around, nobody is lifting a finger. I’m fully prepared to help my southern neighbors, but not a damn soul is willing to do what it takes.
It’s extremely frustrating and heart breaking to watch freedom die in what once was a bastion of freedom.
I know, I’m really surprised to see the decline of America happen so rapidly. I guess the everything was in place for it to happen, just needed the enough of the older generation to die off then the self-indulgent, self-absorbed generation started the take over. God help us.
But, I also see this same mentality happen all over the world. It’s like leftism is the rot that is destroying the free world.
Bump!!!
Thanks for posting this
Amen.
It’s called “forgiveness” and “grace” and being “saved” after repenting of the very sins that the left are going on about!. Something the left has no clue of.
If she needed to follow the “rule of law” then Hillary would be in the jail cell right next to hers!
She is upholding the law which she was sworn to uphold. The law changed on her. Kim Davis is an American hero; we should teach children about her.
The law didn’t change.
