Revealed! Inside Look at Why GOP Won't Fight Obama

WASHINGTON – Why won’t Republican leadership in Congress fight President Obama?

It’s the question that frustrates 75 percent of GOP voters and an issue that has likely helped Donald Trump skyrocket in the polls.

Now, WND has obtained a revealing look into the thought process of the congressional Republican elite during a candid email exchange with a Senate leadership aide.

It showed why GOP leadership is apparently so reluctant to effectively confront Obama on such key issues as defunding executive amnesty, Obamacare and Planned Parenthood.

The dialogue also revealed why Republican leadership employs a strategy of confronting the president with words, but has expressed a reluctance to take risks and to use perhaps the only potent tool in lawmakers’ arsenal: the power of the purse.

It was not a confrontational exchange but one of substance. The Senate aide was gracious enough to take the time to spell out GOP leadership’s position clearly and thoughtfully. WND responded with what it believed to be the views of the GOP party base.

"Bottom line - weak leadership in both House and Senate."

Well, that's a surprise.

Aw hell, why don’t they turn congress back to Harry and Nancy. It was so much more entertaining.

McConnell’s strategy is evidently to wait and hope the next president is a Republican.

Yes Sir !! That has really worked in the past !! /s

It's incredible that the Republicans can snatch defeat from the hands of victory, again and again.

I keep threatening to change my affiliation from R to IND. Reluctant to with a possible Primary and Cruz on the ballot. He needs my vote.

They are simply careerists, afraid of losing their positions of privilege. The "extremist" label is of no concern to them, it is just a straw man.

The extremists are the democrats. They are the weather underground of the 70’s.

Republicans in congress are elites/exempt/immune/dependent. Our fight is not their fight; simple as that. They are fine with the status quo.

All they have is a desire to stay elite; they have no desire fight godless communists.

We see cowardice and fecklessness; they see security.

Pukes, all of them save one or two.

Here is Ted Cruz has to say on the corruption and weak leadership of the GOPe.

That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, “We’re asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.

Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, that’s what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because we’re scared of this issue. We don’t want to have a political fight on this.

But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.

Now, I was sitting there — to be honest, I hadn’t gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, “There’s no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, I’ll fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.”

If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.

Weakness and the fact that the Democrats had access to most of the FBI files on the current Republicans in Congress and Senate.

“Bottom line - weak leadership in both House and Senate.”

the REAL bottom line: There is only one party. They all believe in he same things, but they pander to us and our concerns to get elected. IF you can’t get elected in one party, run as the other party.

The correct answer is that the GOP leadership is so full of infiltrators that the RATS know every plan they dream up.
