The IT specialist who set up Hillary Clinton's controversial private email was paid with taxpayer dollars after he helped the former Secretary of State skirt the law.
And Bryan Pagliano is finding his own words could be coming back to bite him. 'Some things that look like good ideas may actually have bad consequences,' he told an IT webinar last year.
Pagliano, 39, was taken on by the State Department when Clinton was appointed the nation's top diplomat in 2009. He had previously worked for her presidential campaign.
Now the married father of two, says he will plead the Fifth Amendment to prevent him testifying to Congress about his work at Clinton's home in Chappaqua, NY.
And that action has led to controversy as Republican leaders start to question whether he was doing private work for Hillary while on the public dime.

Well, you didn’t think she’d pay for it with her own money, do you?
Clinton is said to be upset by Pagliano’s decision. A campaign aide told ABC News that she ‘has made every effort to answer questions and be as helpful as possible, and has encouraged her aides, current and former, to do the same, including Bryan Pagliano.’

She expected him to go and lie his @ss off for her. Now that he’s taking the 5th, people are inferring that something criminal took place regarding Hilly’s server. Taking the 5th makes her look really bad. Pags is looking out for himself here - a bad sign for Hilly & she knows it. He’ll make a deal for immunity & by then, enough will be known from the investigation results & other sources to determine if he’s lying or not. Mills testified today - no indication she took the 5th but she’s an old hand at this and has perjured herself often and with impunity for Hilly in the past.
Bryan Pagliano can’t plead the 5th if he’s been given immunity. Of course, if he testifies, he may also demand to enter the witness protection program, since he may have valid concerns about waking up with a bad case of Arkancide.
Although I think I have a healthy respect for the 5th Amendment, I do note that the Obama Admin, and its associates, make heavy use of it. I really have to interpret that situation as: “Damn right I broke the laws — but I’m not going to help you send me to prison!”
His wife needs to get a BIG life insurance policy on him, quick.
The dude better stay away from railroad tracks, bridges, and parks along the Potomac.
Taking the fifth means he won’t be taking the bus, or more precisely, he won’t be taking a trip under the bus.
I’m fairly certain Bryan Pagliano believes taking the Fifth may well save his life.
Ping
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Treason isn’t just helping the enemy because you like them.
Treason is selling government secrets.
Treason isn’t just a slap on the wrist offense.
There is a death penalty for treason.
Hillary can play around with it because she’s old and sick.
Her subordinates may want to live and live outside of prison.
Make him give the money back.
Sounds like an accomplice to a crime before the fact, which is a conspiracy to commit fraud on the American tax payer.
Could Pagliano turn out to be Hill’s John Dean?
I went there once, when I first moved to the area. I found a Ranger standing in the woods who’s first words to me were, “I guess you want to see *that* spot. One supposes that that’s why most people go there.
I went to the Watergate that day, too.
Had a heart attack that night.
Slight difference.
Dean is still alive...
