ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter reacted on Thursday’s “SportsCenter” to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game “Deflate-gate” suspension being uplifted by federal judge Richard Berman, calling it an “embarrassment for the NFL.”

“being uplifted”? That sounds like something from another gender, not football...

It seems where is the proof is what the Goodell used to find him guilty and cited the infamous cell phone not turned over. Yet the NFL did not make available to Brady the chief prosecutor for cross examination.... The Judge also found that even if Brady was involved the most the NFL could punish him was a fine.

Another Democrat judicial appointee working to tip the scales of justice farther in the direction of labor unions.

Goodell is a chump. He thought he would gain favor with the other 31 teams by running a witch hunt on the one unpopular team. Looks like it backfired badly.

Trump for President 2016
Cruz for President 2024
Brady for President 2032

In short, Roger Goodell was goaded by the ownership of the Colts and Ravens to go after Tom Brady--and lost.

I mean, between:

1. Ted Wells definitely not as independent as the NFL league office claimed.
2. The report had way too many wishy-washy allegations.
3. The very fact Brady was not entitled to a decision by an arbitrator not connected to the NFL or the NFLPA.

Was why Judge Berman decided to overturn the suspension. One now really wonders will Roger Goodell announce soon that he will not continue the role of NFL Commissioner after February 29, 2016, the end of the NFL season for fiscal purposes.

Also invasion of privacy trying to force brady to give up his phone.

Wasn’t it Goodell who originally claimed they knew who did what, but they didn’t have proof.

Ironic that a judge would want evidence, not opinion and supposition.

It’s an embarrassment to the government to involve itself in the operation of a private league. Which enumerated power grants this?

“One now really wonders will Roger Goodell announce soon that he will not continue the role of NFL Commissioner “

I believe he was offered a full time job with Wilson Sporting Goods, inflating footballs. Yeah, it is blue collar work, but a noble endeavor.

Brady refused to give up his phone because of three dreaded letters: T-M-Z.

Who's to say Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ, wasn't willing to pay a lower-level NFL staffer upwards of $500,000 to get the contents of Tom Brady's phone had it been turned over to the NFL league offices? When even confidential grand jury testimony gets leaked nowadays, no wonder why Brady was wary of turning over the phone.

The NFL invited it when they asked for their Anti-Trust Exemption.

Goodell may be a chump.

But Brady is a cheater. If it had happened just once, it could be overlooked, but the Patriots have a track record of cheating.

History and most of the fans in the NFL will NOT treat them well.

Just look at all the stuff Brady sent to other people’s phones that got leaked. He clearly had some pretty legitimate privacy concerns.

Article III section 2 says the courts have jurisdiction to controversies between citizens of different states. Really settling disputes on contract interpretation has been one of the courts jobs for a very very long time.

Well, maybe, but it’s still unseemly and opens up a door to litigating every decision by the league.
