Hi, everybody. This Monday, I’m heading to Alaska for a three-day tour of the state.
I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. Not only because Alaska is one of the most beautiful places in a country that’s full of beautiful places — but because I’ll have several opportunities to meet with everyday Alaskans about what’s going on in their lives. I’ll travel throughout the state, meeting with Alaskans who live above the Arctic Circle, with Alaska natives, and with folks who earn their livelihoods through fishing and tourism. And I expect to learn a lot.

Not many. My ex used to play on one at Elmendorf AFB. Anchorage used to have (maybe still does) a city course. Best way to play golf if you live in Alaska is to head to the airport and fly to Hawaii.

**Nothing good** will come from this visit and the cost of extra security/hotels/etc, etc will be paid by the SoA. And just for the record, the SoA is running a 4.5 BILLION deficit for this year - next year will be worse.
Alaska **used to be a good place to live**, now - not so much.
One of my sons has already sold off his place and moved to Texas. We’re waiting out the time until my wife can retire, then we are headed out.

If he would really listen, he would not like what real Alaskans have to say about the politics of Washington. Alaskans do not need Washington, although Ted Stevens did milk the treasury for a lot of funds.
Sound like he just is still trying to punch his card in his effort to visit all 57 states.
