Donald Trump: Macho Man of 2016

Donald Trump's America is no place for weaklings.
Impotent lawmakers, chokers and politicians who hug and kiss are out; real men -- tough, mean and nasty -- will be in if the real estate mogul takes the Oval Office.
That's the picture of the brash new nation that Trump promises in the machismo-laden speeches on which he's building his unorthodox campaign.
So far, The Donald's bullish image is the key to his appeal among voters who are sick of the evasions of conventional politicians and who lap up his barked vows to bulldoze political correctness and get something done.
*snip*
It's a testosterone-fueled performance that has left his rivals gasping for media coverage and turned the 2016 election into a rolling reality show. No one can be sure exactly what will come out of Trump's mouth on live TV.
Being tough is not unusual in presidential campaigns: It's required, for instance, for presidential nominees to show they have the steel to be commander-in-chief.

Now that you mention it, who else but Trump could Time magazine’s Man of the Year be for this year?

That is a sexist statement. Real men, can be hug and kiss upon greeting others, tough mean and nasty when in negotiations that call for it. If this article were about about a woman candidate, it would disqualify the author permanently from the job.
Last time I checked Putin, or name just about any other world leader besides America, have reputations as tough hard men. How do you deal with such people? With hugs and kisses like Obama puckering up to swallow what Putin dishes out? NO, with strength and a certain demeanor of intractability others interpret as mean and nasty.

My guess, Caitlyn Jenner on the cover, or the Pope or someone who advances Time's agenda.

Donald Trump may be the GOP's last chance. He is a third party candidate within a major party. The Republican establishment was busy pushing moderates, while distancing themselves from people like Ted Cruz and Scott Walker. The Republican voters, who had endured McCain and Romney, and then went all-in for a Republican Senate majority, wanted no part of it. The voters feel that they have been let down. Trump, testosterone and all, has caught fire. Now even Cruz and Walker look weak by comparison. Trump has risen the bar.
No nonsense. That is what we are craving here in the hinterlands. That is what Trump offers. He is in many ways a creation of the Milquetoasts who run the GOP. Next stop, if Trump is stopped - third party.

My reading comprehension skills must need some improvement, because I thought the article was pro-Trump and pro-male.
I am sick of the limp-wristed, Obama metrosexual male movement in this country. We need a return to the Marlboro man (without the smokes).

Wait, Macho Man like the drug addicted spouse abusing wrestler? Or Macho Man like the hit song by the gay band? Or would the writer prefer to rethink that one?
