On Sunday, ABC's George Stephanopoulos, an excellent interviewer, tried to break through the Trump persona and get some answers on something - anything! Stephanopoulos chose the sole plan listed under "Positions" on the official Trump website. It is Trump's plan for making Mexico pay for a wall on our southern border, deporting "criminal aliens" from the United States, and ending "birthright citizenship" among other complex, controversial and expensive programs. Stephanopoulos attempted to find out how Trump would carry out his plan. Specifically.
Did I say it was like wrestling an eel? It is more like punching a pillow.
"You have so many illegals. We don't even know how many," Trump said. "I hear 11 million. I hear 30 million. The government has no idea. We have lost control of our country." Specific enough for you? Stephanopoulos kept trying. He wanted fact's figures, hard numbers, real plans. Instead he got showmanship.
"George, its called management," Trump replied. The first thing we have to do is secure the border, but it's called management." ...
About six weeks ago, CNN's Anderson Cooper asked Trump whether President Obama was born in the United States. "I don't know. I really don't know," Trump replied. "I don't know why he wouldn't release his records." ...

Oh yeah, another I don’t like the media (WaPo, ABC News, CNN, Reuters, and so on) except when they have good poll numbers for The Donald. Then you like them.
They are liberal when you don’t like them and trustworthy when you do like something that comes from them (as in their polls).
So, if they are so bad, and so liberal here, why are their polls then trustworthy?
On and on it goes...
Trump could say “Hope!” and the Trump crowd would rise.
“Change” and the Trump crowd would start screaming.
“Hope, change” and the Trump crowd would go fanatical...
Left-tard media is so pathetic. They won’t ask any tought questions about anything to a lefty-rat. But they sure try their best to make a republican look bad.
I did?
Did any of the Democrat media get specifics from Obozo on his very vague plans of “hope” and “change”, how he was going to lower the sea levels, for pity’s sake? More currently, what specific plans have we heard from Mrs. Bill Clinton on how to save America’s Middle Class, when she assures us she will “fight for” it?
Republicans are required to dot every i and cross every t of what they will do for the country, while the Democrat media faithfully repeats the boiler plate blather of their candidates, with never a question as to how they will fulfill any of their promises.
An excellent article.
The GOP hopefuls in 2016 running for election and reelection are sure going to love what The Donald said to CNN’s Anderson Cooper (the article points out what Anderson Cooper asked of him). /s.
Definitely a good article. That said, except for the elderly, I don’t think anybody even watches most of the programs Trump fans here are so outraged about. Most people get their news from Internet sites and a lot of opinion comes from that too.
Trump is almost 70, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, if you want to run for office, you have to stay current. He’s not, has no elected experience in the past to draw on, and is basically just a wealthy old man shooting his mouth off.
.
More like wrestling a Boa Constrictor.
They demand specifics from Trump.....yet with Obama they were perfectly content with his specifics which he dtailed as "Hope and Change".
An excellent article.
Just wait until the media asks and keeps asking all of the GOP hopefuls in 2016 (after the primaries, that is) about what CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked of The Donald and the response (as laid out in this article).
Just what the GOP needs across this country in governorships, House of Reps races, Senate races....
Specifics ..yeah. Candidates ALWAYS get in the tall weeds with specifics ./s
“I guess he doesnt give them the answers they want.”
“His answers to me seem to be “Yada, Yada, Yada........We build a wall. “Yada, Yada, Yada........We get jobs back from China.”
If elected, do you think Trump will be like ALL the others, giving lip service to doing something, anything, about the invasion? Or do you think Trump would actually build a wall, start deporting illegals, and set up incentives to return jobs to America? Me, I think we’ll see actions geared towards making America great again that we haven’t seen since WW2. I think this scares the shit out of all the ruling class Uniparty elites because it goes in the exact opposite direction of their goal to destroy the United States, in an attempt to put us on an even playing field with every turd world shit hole out there. THAT’s why ‘they’ cannot allow him to win. Because he WILL be a president of action.
That's actually an excellent answer. Not the one Cooper wanted to hear, of course, but it uses the standard MSM/DNC tactic of turning the question back on the questioner (Cooper's real boss in the White House), which most GOPe types are too scared to do.

Reading leftist fantasy. oped, is kind of what it must be like when a FBI agent interogates a clever serial killer? Or, more like a serial killer who thinks he is clever.
That is exactly what I thought about the article. George a good interviewer? He’s a wild eyed democrat so he is only “good” to another wild eyed democrat. Or a Liberal-tarian, maybe.
But you and others sure liked the polls from ABC news (where George is at)/WaPo in the past which gave good marks for Trump. And here you like the Chicago Sun Times...Besides hypocrisy, What's you point? To Trump Mania people, ABC News, CNN, NYT, WaPo, and on and on are good when you want them to be and bad when you want them to be.
Liberal when you want them to be and not so liberal when you want them to be...
Forget the democrats for a moment.
With the exception of Ted Cruz, when has any other republican candidate been asked for the specifics of their plans?
My goodness, but you are insulting.
thanks for ping
