Family feud? Obama caught between Clinton, Biden ambitions

President Barack Obama is the man in the middle, caught between the White House aspirations of two of his closest advisers: Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

For months, White House officials expected Clinton to be the Democratic nominee in the 2016 election. Some of Obama's top political advisers moved to New York to run her campaign and Obama appeared to give his tacit approval, saying she would be an "excellent president."

But that bet on Clinton suddenly looks less certain. With Biden weighing his own presidential run more seriously amid signs of weakness in Clinton's campaign, the White House faces the prospect of a family feud over who will become heir to Obama's legacy.

When George H.W. Bush ran for president, even though he was Reagan’s vice-president, Reagan was neutral as the primaries unfolded to choose the GOP nominee.

So, doesn’t it make sense that Obama would likewise be neutral about who is running, not wanting to endorse anyone so early in the process???

Or am I naive? Somebody clue me in. As far as family feuds and all that, of course there is lots going on behind the scenes which we are not privy to.

My 2 cent take: Biden, if elected, would be a ‘third term’ for Obama. He would not undo anything Obama has done. That is what Obama can trust Biden to do ... he cannot say the same of Clinton. Obama will do what is best for Obama & his “legacy” & that is Joe Biden. The Clintons are in it for the Clintons. I think Hillary is toast .... if she won’t step down willingly (and she won’t), then Obama will have to do something to force her out & he will. He’s giving the leaks time to percolate out and when it’s time for Joe, suddenly Hillary will be (officially) found to have violated National Security, or some such other serious charge. Furthermore, if the FBI can crack open the door to the Clinton Foundation with what they find during their investigation (evidence of bribes, etc.), Bill & Chelsea will be at risk as well. Will Hillary throw Bill/Chelsea under the bus? Maybe Bill (payback for Juanita, Kathleen, Paula, Gennifer could be a bitch), but not Chelsea. Obama has a lot of room to rumble with Hillary and he’ll take her out if it suits his agenda & it’s looking more & more to me like it does.

Obama is not reacting to events, he is generating them. He is carrying out his plan in his own way. We don't know what that plan is yet but it is starting to look more and more like it will not result in a women President in 2017.

Clearly, VJ and Barry O want to do in Hillary. But this must be done delicately. The Clinton mafia are still dangerous and there are Obama skeletons that must remain concealed. There are also the electoral implications of being seen too openly to be destroying the First Female Candidate^®.
