Conservative American talk show host Glenn Beck has slammed frontrunner Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying he is a false conservative.
Beck, a former member of the Republican Party, said in an interview on Saturday, I havent heard him talk about the Constitution or small government.
Its hard to say you espouse conservative principles and small-government principles when you are saying that you think [the] Canadian health care system works and is wonderful, he added.
I look for a man of integrity, humility, who is rooted in the Constitution, Beck stated, because if you root yourself in the Constitution, we cant go too far left or too far right.
Trump has maintained a lead among GOP presidential contenders in national polling since he announced his candidacy in mid-July.
A Rasmussen poll released Friday found that a majority of Republican voters (57 percent) believe Trump will be their partys nominee for president in 2016. Among all likely voters, 49 percent believe Trump is likely to win the GOP nomination, up from 23 percent two months ago.
He is not a politician, Beck declared. He is saying the populist things right now.
I think whats happening with Bernie Sanders with the left is the same thing thats happening with Donald Trump, he opined, referring to the independent presidential candidate seeking Democratic nomination.
They want somebody to say it the way they think it especially if they say it in a non-politically correct way, the former Fox News pundit asserted.
Earlier this year, Beck announced to quit the Republican Party, saying he has become disillusioned with the Republicans in recent years over their failure to stand up to the Obama administration over a number of issues.
All this stuff that they said and they ran and they said they were doing all of these great things and they were going to stand against ObamaCare and illegal immigration they set us up, Beck stated.
He accused the Republicans of torpedoing the Constitution and said that theyre doing it knowingly.
The founder of the Blaze said that he decided to leave the Republican Party because of its resistance to change.
As many as 17 Republicans are seeking their partys nomination for president but only Trump, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are considered serious contenders.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is competing against only three Democrats and Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party's nomination. Only Sanders is considered at all competitive in the early primaries.
Iran doesn’t want the Donald as President.
I wonder why.
Another thing that is really important is that maybe he has encouraged other titans of private enterprise to donate their time and expertise to public service.
As it is we have mostly mediocre talent running the country.
All good points.
If Trump can build a wall and send back this invasion of illegals, I don’t a give a single solitary damn over whether he technically gets defined as “conservative” or not. He would be worth supporting for that alone.
And does Beck regard himself a conservative? The guy who goes to the Rio Grande to deliver teddy-bears to border crossing gangbangers, and is perfectly okay with the sick depravity of homo-marriage? I don’t want to be affiliated with anything to do with that kind of demented brand of so-called “conservatism” that Beck demonstrates.
In the 1990's Newt and the Heritage Foundation were for Obamacare. Are people still holding Heritage to that position? They changed. Everyone can change including Trump.
However, if you ask most Canadians if their healthcare works they will get very defensive about it and say it works much better than healthcare in the United States so there is some truth to it working for them.
If “better than Obama” is the standard, probably 90% of Democrats would qualify.
Why must we settle for a life long Liberal? Why not a real Conservative like Ted Cruz?

Beck is wrong. Trump isn’t even a false conservative. He’s a liberal socislist.
Were you napping?
Trump doesn’t know anything about the Constitution and he doesn’t care about it. It doesn’t benefit him in any way.
That whole 'humility' thing's overrated Glenn Beck ... the world's moved on...
Men who 'apologize with passion'? That one's finished too. In fact the whole feminization of politics is ending.
The world's finished reloading.
Does Donald Trump love America?
Does he like what America has become? Would he damage the country more than it has been damaged to date?
Who else has stepped up boldly as a leader, speaking plainly with all the tenderness of an army sergeant?
Unchartered times call for unchartered measures.
Trump/Cruz '16
Didn’t Trump say he wouldn’t revoke the Iran agreement?
beck is not a Conservative either. he’s a Libertarian.
When did Glenn Beck get discharged from the mental hospital?
Glenn the “let’s feed hotdogs to the illegal alien rapists when they sneak across the border” is a moron.
Fact is, if he was a conservative he'd know that a wall won't help much. As long as the U.S. is incentivizing- illegal immigration they will get here. Since he has no conservative background, he doesn't know thay.
Also he doesn't know the 60 million already here is way more than those still left to come.
Press TV is an Iranian, English language news channel, sort of like Al Jazeera. Google it, you can watch it online.
I like Beck. If he'll think about what he just said, though, he'll understand why people are flocking to Trump. They have figured out that GOPe isn't ever going to keep their promises. They believe Trump will.
Bingo!
