CNN)Donald Trump appeared to contradict his own immigration policy proposal Tuesday, just two days after releasing a detailed outline of his plans.
Trump said he wants foreigners who study at American universities to be able to stay in the U.S., but his immigration plan released Sunday would make it more difficult for foreigners to obtain certain visas and green cards that would allow them to remain and work in the U.S. legally.

Splendid graphic (as always)! And a true statement following! See Graham and take the opposite road is always sound advice for survival.
Which message because it changes all the time.
That is not very logical or good math. Are you saying 93% of conservatives hate Cruz because he is polling 7.3% in latest RCP poll averages?
Don’t argue with facts! It interferes with the pretzel logic and fuzzy math.
Economy, culture, criminality, are all important. I am one of those foreign students in STEM with a advanced degree, and my 3 employers begged me to stay every time I wanted to quit for other jobs. Culturally, I am as American as any average American. I love American politics, have a 12 handicap in golf, and have not even received a traffic ticket in 40 years. My 5 bed room house had better landscaping than most. I have bought only American made cars.
40 years without a traffic ticket? Did you talk them out of it?
If I were you, I would be more bothered by the ONE MILLION new legal immigrants admitted every year, many can’t speak English, many are too old to change their culture, many are not educated so depend on government welfare.
And those above are 100 times greater in numbers than the best and brightest with advanced degrees in STEM.
I hate speeding. That helps a lot to avoid rickets. One time I was stopped for going 35 in a 25 zone, but the cop got a phone call to address some more serious situation and he let me go.
Although when I was young and driving in Chicago, I made a fair contribution to city coffers. That was more than 40 years back.
I can understand Silicon Valley NEEDS engineers our kids are graduating with degrees in some sort of social science or basket weaving our kids are so far down in math and sciences it has become pathetic!!!!!!!
I’m totally willing to compromise on those 10k.
The rest of the millions are indentured servants and a toxic stew of foreign loyalties and resume fraud.
I can understand Silicon Valley NEEDS engineers our kids are graduating with degrees in some sort of social science or basket weaving our kids are so far down in math and sciences it has become pathetic!!!!!!!
CC doesn’t whine, and he doesn’t smear. He acts more mature and reasonable than any of the Trumpista fanbois currently littering this board.
You need to face the fact that we Trump skeptics are true conservatives, and we aren’t going anywhere. We have a bumper crop of fantastic young candidates who espouse similarly (and in most cases more) conservative views than Mr. Trump. We have a real chance against a weak opposition to break the blue wall in states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania and carry a true conservative into the WH with a real mandate, and I for one will be damned if I’m gonna sit back and let us blow it because some two bit quasi-celebrity got bored with reality TV and tacky real estate deals.
Trump hit on one point which even I had never thought of (Doing a Rush imitation here lol) which is H1-B visa people should are allowed to be hired for cheaper wages than Americans. That is the sole reason why US citizens get replaced by H1-B workers. I don’t know how that can be enforced, but it is a very valid point.
Do not hold your breath while waiting with hope. When my own sister is willing to give up her idol Hillary, and planning to vote for Trump, this is a phenomena I could never have imagined scant 2 months ago.
That’s not the reason they are hired. They would be hired at the same wage.
They are hired because they can be abused and have no rights, so employers can do whatever the hell they like and there’s not a damn thing the employee can do about it - not even quit - unless the employee is willing to go back to whatever third-world hellhole he came from.
Americans have rights, the option to work for another employer, and can’t be as easily forced into abusive relationships, and that makes us less desirable.
I am hearing similar things and those on the fence are leaning Trump do far. I have tried to defend Cruz as well with those on the younger side who insist he is a right wing extremist. No one accuses DT of that I must say.
Well said!
As a naturalized US citizen, I would be mad as hell if that happened to me. Luckily, my employers never found anyone capable of replacing me. hahaha. But I was not in IT area where this problem seems to manifest itself the most.
