A few years ago I may have dismissed this as “conspiracy”...not any more!

I really am in two minds about this. For intractable, terrible pain? Yes. But I know three people who became addicted. All with back injuries. One in his Forties, one in his Seventies, and one in his Eighties. I don’t have a problem with relieving pain in old people, but it must be managed. But in kids? I have a problem with that, unless they have something like terminal cancer. I don’t know,,,,, dealing with pain is a tough issue. Not simple!

My mother was prescribed oxy for several months in her end-life stage with cancer. I had to take a new paper script to the pharmacy for each refill, but it did help her.
Yes, if a child was in the same position, it would be good if it was available to them as well.

I had prostate surgery in early May and was given OxyContin for the pain that I might experience afterwards.
I had no post procedure pain, but after I got home and had the catheter removed, urinating was like pissing liguid lava.
As much as I hate meds, I decided to take 1/4 dose of the OxyContin and for about 4-6 hours I felt like I was drugged and in another world.
There is going to be some serious damage to these children.

Fair enough- if needed.
But, unfortunately every welfare parent in the country will be getting their child prescribed this drug so they can sell it.

It already is for teenagers; it’s called “Grandma’s oxycontin.”

Yeah, we wouldn’t want children suffering from severe pain to get any relief.

Look up Ritalin and how the schools used it as a babysitter.
To: Nachum
Might as well mix it with ritalin and create a super-cocktail.

I felt like I was drugged and in another world. I had a similar experience after cracking a rib. Had immense pain and trouble taking a breath. My doctor prescribed it and I took half a pill and it made me a zombie.
I have never taken another ever after that. The pain was better than the meds.

I highly recommend the free newsletter:
thepeoplespharmacy.com
And the website:
askapatient.com
Check out the side effects and bad medicine out there as it pertains to one and all.

In the ex’s case, that would be a BONUS for the rest of the populace. ;)
But, you’re right. It’s all about controlling the masses. Keep them drugged, unarmed and dependent from cradle to grave. Government has made EXCELLENT inroads in this area, already.

Oxy is a happy pill. It is given out like candy in nursing homes to control the patients. We’re not talking about the short duration cases here, but the long term cases. Many of these children will develop personality disorders which will be blamed on anything but the opioid treatment.

Keep them drugged, unarmed and dependent from cradle to grave. Oxy is cheap as dirt so it meets the Obamacare criteria for cheapness. The next step is to eliminate doctors and just have the government issue the meds.

Eh. The high doesn’t last more than a couple days. Then it’s basically like strong ibuprofen.
