After Carly Fiorina's standout performance in the Aug. 6 Republican pre-debate, we were eager to see her polling numbers.
Sure, she spoke in the so-called "kiddie table" debate -- really more of a 5 o'clock forum featuring the bottom seven Republican presidential candidates before the main stage of the top 10 -- and sure, her competition was six men who were pretty, well, lackluster that day.
But the media, including us here at The Fix, made note of how well-spoken, versed poised she appeared. The former Hewlett-Packard CEO was one of the night's unequivocal winners -- of either debate.
The even-better news for Fiorina? Her slight surge in the polls since the debate comes even as she remains unknown to many voters -- more than almost all of her opponents. Translation: She's gaining ground, and she's still got plenty of room for growth.

So many people pushing this annoying woman.
Huh?
Trump reigned.
Now we know the real reason for the two tiered debate format.
Carny attacking Trump = Br’er Rabbit attacking the Tar Baby.
“was one of the night’s unequivocal winners — of either debate. “
Obviously written by a typical eGOP propagandist.
If she and Carson can get more voters away from Jeb, and not go to Christie, Kasich, or Walker, perhaps God is still on our side.
When those voters get disillusioned with Fiorina and Carson, next stop Trump!
My totally unsubstantiated theory is that once folks favor a non-ordained candidate, they're not looking back.
“Candidate” is the pinnacle for iCarly
She is a proven loser in politics and business and we want to put her up against the Ayatollahs, the Chinese, the Saudis, Putin, and the democrats? What if one if them says a bad thing aboit women ? Wiil. They. Get. Carly. Really. Really. Mad?
Maybe.
Looks to me that the Compost is anti-American to the point where it’s willing to lie about something so blatant — and I’m not even a Trumpista.
Not according to the majority of people polled. But you can go ahead and make Don king.
If privatizing profits, and socializing the costs is your game, then the oligarchy/fascist candidate Fiorina may be your choice.
In the mean time, fail to ignore the cast aside American masses armed with pitchforks and torches at your own peril.
I am not a Trumpista, but let’s step back and look at what happened that night.
Fox news tried to destroy his candidacy in the first five minutes of the “debate”. The MSM piled onto the ‘war on women” angle for the next two to three weeks, in a failed attempt to destroy Trump.
For good or ill, for better or worse, the net outcome of the first round of debates was to improve Trump’s campaign.
It got Trump talked about and the talk found more sympathetic ears to Trump than the MSM imagined.
I. Liked. Her. Until. After. the. Period.
Now, she is on level with Krispy Kreme and Jeb.
And the poll I saw this morning has him down a point from pre-debate. How is that an improvement? He is the most well known of all the candidates and he is getting all the press. His numbers appear to be stuck at about 25%. I think that is his peak. The lesser known candidates appear to be rising.
You may very well be right about that.
Wait until people have time to read his immigration policy.
Carly is another Cheap Labor Express candidate.
Like her or not, it might be “just words, just speeches” but she at least comes off as having a bigger pair than Cruz, Walker. Rubio, Jeb, etc., etc.
