Many Republican entertainers are clearly smitten with former reality TV star Donald Trump, but for conservative commentator Glenn beck, this makes no sense.
Trump, a longtime crony capitalist, supports many liberal positions, including increased gun control and single-payer healthcare. ...
"I get it if you are tired of politicians, A Republican progressive, or you are only about winning," Beck wrote in a message posted at Facebook [link at URL]. "Perhaps you are angry and you just want to make someone pay or just want something done and you don't carte how it gets done, but what PRINCIPLES does he have that they are attracted to?"
"I really want to understand," he added.
Beck listed off a handful of reasons why conservatives should cringe at the thought of Trump's candidacy.
"[Trump] said he identifies his 'policies more as a Democrat'; he makes Obama look truly humble' he was very pro abortion until very recently;; he still says 'don't defund Planned Parenthood'; he is pro 'assault weapons ban'; he is in favor of a wealth tax that would just 'take money out of people's bank accounts'; he is for boots on the ground in Iraq and 'taking the oil' from the Iraqi people; he is a progressive 'Republican'; he says single payer health care works; he said he would give people more than just Obama care," Beck wrote.
"[T]he first Lady would be the first to have posed nude in lesbian porno shots; he said that he keeps all the bibles he is given in a 'special place' outside the city - and he only goes to church on Christmas and Easter; he is generally not a likable guy; he has around 16% favorability with Hispanics and he has gone bankrupt 4 times," he added. ...

“Yes, the border needs to be secured, but you appear to be a single issue voter.”
If the border in not secured, everything else is irrelevant. We are destroyed.
You seem a little confused over the bankruptcies. I suggest you do some research and then get back to us. Most businesses file a chapter 11 - it is a reorganization bankruptcy. It doesn’t mean it wipes anyone out. So, you think he lost everything he had 4 times? Not a chance!
>>Trump could come out tomorrow, abort a baby live on TV in the home of an illegal immigrant while demanding the government increase its control over all aspects of life and his supporters would marvel at how conservative he is<<
I seriously doubt your assertion is anywhere near the truth.
I know Obama or Hillary could get away with that, but their Supporters already support Infanticide, Illegal Immigration and Centralized Government.
Alinsky, accuse others of doing what you are already doing.
I’m sorry. :( Hope you find a job, soon. My neighbor was let go to be replaced with a guy from India. He’s struggling to make ends meet. They have 4 kids and home school.
“Trump could come out tomorrow, abort a baby live on TV in the home of an illegal immigrant while demanding the government increase its control over all aspects of life and his supporters would marvel at how conservative he is.”
What would make someone post a statement that absurd? LSD, crack cocaine, pot?
Here it is, Glenn.
Trump is challenging the status quo, he’s bombastic, he’s a showman and he’s not afraid of PC.
IOWs Trump is doing all of the same things you did that made you famous.
You just made me give up on this thread.
“Campaigns based on personality never end well”
-—Then explain Barack Obama? His 2008 campaign was totally personality driven as he SERIOUSLY lacked ANY experience and his only claim to fame at that point was Community Organizer. And Obama wasn’t a US Senator long enough for that to count. Trump has spent most of his life building a multi-billion dollar empire. So, Trump is hardly a one-trick pony
So you're looking at two choices, either Glenn cries or calls people stupid.........
Ya got me on that one......I can't decide.......
Glenn Beck is a despicable scumbag. I will never listen to another word he utters, nor add to the traffic of his pathetic, blog-ripoff site TheBlaze. Dead to me. Vermin.
Trump is the anti-Romney.
Romney was the perfect example of the GOPe candidate. Brought up from within the party, the son of of a party loyalist, inoffensive when dealing with Obama, ruthless when dealing with conservative challengers.
Romney would have been much, much better than Obama when it comes to foreign policy, but domestically? He pioneered what became Obamacare, he’d be for “a pathway to citizenship” or some other dodgy term for amnesty, and the federal government would still be wresting control of education from the states. Romney wouldn’t have put on the rainbow lightshow after the Supremes invented a constitutional right to homosexual marriage, he’d have a press conference reminding everyone it’s “decided law” and then do a low key event to endorse the “new reality”. Same result, just less arrogant.
Trump may morph into Romney 2.0 after he gets elected. Anything is possible, and the GOP has a long and illustrious history of running to the right and moving lefter after election day, so it could turn out that Trump is no different.
But if we go GOPe, we are guaranteed that things will be no different. Trump might be a dubious line to grab ahold of, but I’m taking it rather than waiting for the party of McConnell and Boehner to decide that they might want to rescue the conservative base that they pushed off the boat in the first place.
FUGOPE. Go Trump.
Glenn Beck Has an Honest Question for Hannity, Limbaugh and Coulter: I Really Want to Understand
... he makes President Obama look truly humble
From the man that was too big for FOX News.
I had another thought to add to yours. Weve endured decades of political correctness. Trump is imperfect and doesnt hide it. Trump gives us permission to be politically incorrect and imperfect and proud of it.
Exactly.
Where do you get the “15 years” since Trump went over to pro-life, except in cases of rape and incest?
Ban late abortions; exceptions for rape, incest or health. (Jun 2015)
I am now pro-life; after years of being pro-choice. (Apr 2011)
I changed my views to pro-life based on personal stories. (Apr 2011)
I am pro-life; fight ObamaCare abortion funding. (Feb 2011)
Pro-choice, but ban partial birth abortion. (Jul 2000)
Favors abortion rights but respects opposition. (Dec 1999)

You got me wrong— I was telling the other person what Beck said was wrong.. I agree with you on the bankruptcies..
No, I’m not conflating anything. The American People are sick of immigration.
Abraham Lincoln couldn’t even satisfy the GOP if he ran today.
The leftist, the greedy biz owners, insiders, politicians and American hating frauds have repeated that same exact talking point you just used. In every single election. I find that very suspect.
Tens of millions have been entering illegally. The professional politicians talked about it for 30+ years while aiding and abetting it all of it. Even during war time. Nothing but deceptive lip service from lying con-men.
Single issue voter? Do you have even the slightly clue how many issues and aspects of America this affects?
I find you and your comments to be extremely dubious and questionable.
Was Glenn crying as he said it?
Well, bye.
