The Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that a dessert shop could not refuse service to a same-sex couple that wanted to order a wedding cake, affirming previous rulings.
The American Civil Liberties Union and its Colorado chapter filed the lawsuit on behalf of David Mullins and Charlie Craig. The two visited Masterpiece Cakeshop in the Denver suburb of Lakewood with Craigs mother in July 2012 to order a cake for their wedding, when owner Jack Phillips turned them away, citing his religious beliefs. Phillips told the couple that it was his standard business practice. Phillips had said on multiple occasions that he would rather go to jail than make a gay wedding cake.

I’ve never thought the 1st Amendment applied to our government.
Now why don’t you shut your bigoted faces and go pay your taxes? Your hardworking government is broke. :)
Another goofy bit of tyranny by a burka lady carrying a pumpkin on her head.
We have a right to bear arms.
Are gun stores required to sell to me?
Alcoholism is now defined as a disability.
Are bars and liquor stores required to sell to drunks?
What happened to the right to refuse service?
Another homosexual wedding cake lawsuit.
Hate to say but legal precedent is being set that we are all required to service homosexual weddings.
If these cases work their way to the Supreme Court, I have a feeling the Supreme Court, as currently constituted, would affirm that we do indeed have to service homosexuals. There is not just a constitutional right to homosexual Marriage, but a related right to service at a homosexual event.
Close up and reopen as the Church of divine cakes and claim a religious exemption.
Impeach. Remove. Rinse. Repeat.
No they were refusing service to an "event" not the couple. They would have sold the couple any confection in the store regardless of their orientation. They refused to bake a cake to celebrate an event that violates their deepest held convictions. There is a difference.
Make really ugly and bad tasting wedding cakes-and charge a lot for them. No one can make you GOOD at baking certain kinds of cakes.
A government that punishes people for not going along with its ideology is a fascist state.
Judicial move so case will move on to SCOTUS
What is the most that you can be sued for? The value of the cake? Gay wedding cakes have no value, anyways.
Excellent idea. Forget an ingredient like sugar. They got the cake. Careful what you wish for.

Just for the sake of argument, suppose a straight couple went to a gay owned bakery and want them to write on the cake “No we are NOT gay fags!” Imagine their outrage.
You are a liberal homosexual caterer. They try to hire you to cater their God Hates Fags protest. Can you turn down the job?
IMHO, Westboro Baptist Church is a vile bunch of publicity hungry asshats. But I really with they would start trying to hire liberal homosexuals and Muslim restaurants to cater their protests and then sue the hell out of them when they refuse.
Why don’t bakeries just start decorating all cakes with plain white icing? Keep generic decorations for sale; let the same-sex people just buy two sets of bride & groom & stick them on top of whatever white cake they want. Let bakers just not ask what they want the cake for & stick their fingers in their ears when the person buying the cake volunteers ANY information. Keep some generic floral things on hand to sell for them to top their own dern cakes!
Ask them the date of the wedding. Then tell them that “Sorry! We’ll be on vacation then.”
