“Did you catch this exchange between Brett Baier and Ted Cruz? “
Didn’t see that (I don’t get Fox and have only seen video excerpts).
It’s a shame that the candidates didn’t have the time to respond to each other. In this case they ran out of time in the debate.
Should the moderators have allowed more time to debate individual subjects, as opposed to covering a lot of subjects? I think ‘yes’.
In that particular exchange, Bier’s cutting off the discussion was painful. Maybe the debate was too moderator-driven but the moderators need to give each candidate approximately the same amount of speaking time. Is that correct?
Did Megyn actually say “and God”?

After the debacle of the 2012 election, Preibus should have been booted back to Madison.
What a loser!
Why would you approve a moderator who just said the person who is the frontrunner of your party is unfit to be President, to be OK?
This is the GOP-E at its finest.
We have to save America in spite of these numbskulls.
A better term--where those being examined are more intelligent than the faculty examining them--might be "farce."
“Priebus looks like a rat.”
Well, that’s exactly what he is, a RAT in RINO clothing! The ferret mouthpiece
for the GOPee!
Why don’t Trump, Cruz and especially Carson skip the debates? No matter what, the moderators are never neutral. The ‘moderators’ are always out to destroy conservatives. Are debates a requirement to be president? Screw this establishment system! Let Trump and the others schedule and pay for their own debates where they can all agree on the moderator!
-— Why dont Trump, Cruz and especially Carson skip the debates? -—
They all got a bump from the debates, so I don’t see that happening.
>>It was not a debate! Selected individuals answering questions posed by those in charge, might qualify as an oral examination. It is not a debate, and should not be labelled as such.
Correct! That’s the problem, these supposed debates are simply group interviews with the media. They are designed so the media can attack and remove candidates they don’t like and pump up the candidates they do like.
Conservative question: ‘When you beat your wife, do you think about how much you hate women?’
Liberal question: what’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?’ oooooooh, you are so dreamy!
Screw these debates, let the candidates arrange for a real debate where the moderator is there to keep time and introduce the candidates.
All things considered, the first debate did Republicans as a group a big favor. Each candidate, including Trump, was questioned about subjects that were potentially very harmful. All responded and got those subjects off the table. “that is old news, refer to the debate footage”
Trump had two such encounters. Brett asked the third party question. It had to be asked. Trump was on stage representing the Republican party.
The second was Megyn asking the potentially harmful questions. She was over zealous in her asking and re asking but she was putting the issues on the table. The fact her manner was perceived as offensive is an issue that will benefit Trump for a long time. Voters now have a whipping girl..... and as we can see on FRee Republic, they love to beat hell out of her.
Trump prevailed
Go Scott! (Go Dr Ben!)
