For all those who are listening to Sound Bites on what Donald Trump said on CNN this morning . . here is the truth of his position: "“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly,” Trump said. “And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”
When pressed on non-abortion services Planned Parenthood allegedly provides, Trump said, “What I would do when the time came, I’d look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.”
Trump continued, “I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I’m sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women.”
Nope. Nope. We don’t need to listen to what Trump said. All we need to listen to is what the GOP-wing of the Democrat party tells us he said.
I hope all the anti-Trump posters read this, as I don’t think they did their fact checking before posting his position as being FUNDING PP.
“The good aspects of Planned Parenthood.” That tells you all you need to know ow about Trump as a human being and alleged conservative.

They don’t care what he actually said. They just want to deplete his support because nobody likes their candidates.
Where Donald goes off the reservation here is thinking we need Planned Parenthood to take care of women. Funding any part of this evil organization is like supporting ACORN because they did actually serve a function registering voters.

It looks like he’s in favor of funding Planned Parenthood’s “other” women’s health services EXCEPT abortion. At least that’s how I understand the above statement.
For me, I say Planned Parenthood is SUPERFLUOUS *IF* Obamacare already provides for all those and you want to keep Obamacare.
They’ll still grab a fragment of a sentence and run with it, like post #4.
I read the full transcript. If he finds any part of it to fund, it will fund abortions. I guess he didn’t do his research (again).
Regardless of what Trump said, the GOPE IS funding Planned Parenthood, and they don’t have any intention of stopping.
Thanks for posting, I heard the interview and wasn’t concerned at all ... but of course many people will read something into nothing if it fits their agenda.

You’re right, of course. And of course you’ll be slammed here on FR for not blindly fawning over The Chosen One.
As I posted elsewhere, since 1976 the federal funding has been specifically prohibited for use for abortions. This is the typical cynical politician way of saying, “see we are not funding abortion.”
The fact is the funding keeps the doors opens so they can fund abortions.
The move by those wishing to refund is made because they understand how the funding works on this.
If you fund them you give them the ability to do abortions.
The feds should not be in the abortion business. Let them get private funding. Let states decide if they wish to fund.
What I don't think Trump knows---nor do most people---is that PP gets its profits and thus most of its existence from the abortion side.
