Donald Trump and the Fox News Channel are in talks about Trump possibly appearing on Fox on Monday night, according to a source with knowledge of the talks.
Trump has been lambasting Fox for days, ever since he was challenged in last week's GOP debate.
It is "highly unlikely" Trump would appear at 9 p.m. with host Megyn Kelly, the source said, and that's probably an understatement. Trump has repeatedly and personally insulted Kelly in recent days.
But talks are underway about a Trump interview with another prime time host, like Sean Hannity, the source said, adding that nothing had been confirmed as of Monday morning.
In the meantime, Fox has dramatically ratcheted down its coverage of Trump. It hasn't covered Trump's criticisms of Kelly and the two other debate moderators, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier.
Trump's most recent tweet about Fox came on Sunday afternoon: "It amazes me that other networks seem to treat me so much better than Fox News. I brought them the biggest ratings in history, and I get zip!"
This is a true clash of titans. Fox News is the favored network of Republicans, and Trump is the Republican campaign front-runner.

Please point out his conservative policies.
About the same time Ben Carson was and I don’t see your.attyour.on him
Great reasoning! Agreed. The man would have made a few points and in doing so help those who need and justly deserve our gratitude.
Great idea.
What does this even mean? I happen to like Ben Carson. He did better than expected in the debate and is making himself worth consideration.
Exactly!
That right there that you just said, exspecially the part.about.Greta. Let her have it.
But, Hannity LOVES Coulter and Coulter LOVEs Trump....so there you go...
Where else would Trump go...MSNBC? CNN?
If he wants to get his message out and stop acting like a “loser” and a “moron”, he needs to be on Fox.
Please point out his conservative policies.
Please point to a single “conservative” who gave a damn about the insane release of deportable criminal aliens?
Even while that young woman lay dead in the street in San Francisco no candidate said a word about criminal aliens lest they bruise the delicate Hispanic psyche.
Nobody was talking about immigration in a realistic manner until Trump brought his bazooka to the debate. For that alone he has more than earned the benefit of the doubt for now.
Oh, good. I was wondering if Trump’s people would see that Megyn’s interview with Stern would get some publicity. Her outrage about alleged sexist comments by Trump has no credibility. It appears she can out-smut him every time.
In Ben’s words “I was a flaming liberal!” You aren’t attacking him. People evolve. All people, not just the ones you like.
"Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that Trump will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!"
Sounds like Fox has decided they want to keep their viewership.... I've been saying they have more to lose from this deal than Trump does.
Oooo, oooo give the interview to Greta; she’ll gut him like a trout.
You beat me by one second....
Cruz.
Trump never deserves the “benefit of the doubt”.
Trump win
I understand that. I don’t believe that Trump has “evolved”. Simple as that.
Thx for posting that snag from Twitter, guys.
Yep!!
I think Donald should use some of his ‘leverage’ here and demand Fox apologize for make the debates a tabloid mess.
Me thinks Fox is feeling the backlash. I don’t think they should be given relief any time soon.
Power to the People!
