Businessman Donald Trump remains the leader in the race for the GOP presidential nomination in the wake of the first debate, a new NBC/Survey Monkey poll shows.
Businesswoman Carly Fiorina, widely touted as the winner of the earlier "happy hour" debate of the lower-tiered candidates also got good news. She rose six points up to 8 percent – enough to put her in fourth place. If that trend continues in other polls she would earn a spot in the next GOP debate in September between the top 10 candidates.
The poll was conducted during a 24-hour period overnight Friday into Saturday morning while controversy raged over Trump's debate exchanges with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly and his remarks about her later. That also was coupled with RedState chief Erick Erickson's decision to disinvite Trump to speak to the RedState Gathering on Saturday.

If she tries the same garbage with Trump in the CNN debate he’ll make mincemeat out of her and that will be big story of the debate. She was fired from HP. That’s a fact and she can’t get around it as much as she wants to. A lot of experts call her the worst tech CEO of all time. She also has had as many dealings with the Clintons down through the years as Trump.

Actually, no I didn’t, but I’ll look for it. I saw the picture of Cruz hugging his daughters and wow...got me right in the heart. I don’t have kids but I hope Cruz has a dozen.
All Trump has to do is look what the GOPe’s did to Chris in Mississippi.
Three outsiders are in the top four positions and the only insider that high is the only bona fide conservative in the bunch (Ted Cruz), AND the GOP establishment, insider, sell-outs are at the bottom of the heap! Looks like the GOP peasants are finally revolting against being sold out time and time again by the GOP Washington insiders. Let’s hope this trend manifests the same in the actual primaries.

Me, too. You KNOW she never ate alone at the big Cleveland pow wow. And she said the doctor “thinks” it’s food poisoning and gave her something for nausea. Doctor prescribe nausea medicine is probably narcotics. But I don’t believe any of it.
Her FB “friends” slammed her butt. She felt it necessary to get out on a Sunday and make excuses. I started seeing through her and the rest of the Fox bunch a few years back.
