When other nations were afraid of ideas, this civilization thrived on them, and kept them alive. When censors threatened to wipe out knowledge from past civilizations, this civilization kept the knowledge alive, and passed it on to others.
While modern Western civilization shares many of these traits, the civilization I'm talking about was the Islamic world from the year 800 to 1600, which included the Ottoman Empire and the courts of Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the Magnificent.

Twice as many as originally planned for in Huntsville. Standard stump speech to be sure. Quick on his feet and funny when responding to non-scripted comments. Good as well in the Q&A.
She is buying in to the same politically correct BS that the Obama administration is spouting. Islamic civilization is an oxymoron.
Islam the greatest anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-individual, anti-life collective in the history of civilization.
Go home, Carly.
I'm beginning to think that would be a great strategy. We'd then get CWII behind us.
Friend, if I’d wanted to put Carly down, I wouldn’t post about her job at HP or what her relations should be, she’s a C- for border security and that is pretty darn bad.

C- , same for Bobby Jindal at least, from the above website, at the least, something to study up on.
Don’t forget camel humping and pedophilia.
My grandfather would disagree, having escaped Armenia during the genocide.
Fiorina came out of the stage show having done very well. Then she tripped on the curb outside right after she left and has since been stumbling through mud puddles that keep getting deeper and muddier.
Not quite. They conquered, assembled the disparate knowledge from Greco-Roman and Hindu civilizations, made some advances which were obvious once you had both (like algebra, which is dead easy to develop once the Hindu notion of zero is applied to Diophantine equations), had a brief period when they actually began doing empirical science, then threw it all away by replacing both the Islamic Aristotelianism of Avicenna and Averroes and empiricism with al-Ghazali's occasionalism, that allowed no room for natural laws, both vitiating the basis for science and giving an intellectual defense of the slothful fatalism that has ever since characterized Islamic endeavors in all things, save warfare.
Excerpt:
India’s heritage of solving problems is often overshadowed by centuries of colonialism and conquest. Outside Delhi I visited one of the oldest monuments to that history . . . pillar of iron alloy, smelted by Indian metallurgists with such skill that it has remained rustless for 1,500 years. (Photograph on page 533.)
These superb technicians were brethren of Indian thinkers who originated the concepts of zero and infinity and devised the inaccurately named Arabic numeral system, giving the science of mathematics to a world drenched in superstitious ignorance.

ANSWER: $HIT and shoved in it.
she’s off my list for possible president, permanently
Like that game, esp as French or Brits
No politician, not even Trump, has the guts to say what needs to be said, that Islam is incompatible with freedom and civilization and should be banned.
If we don’t do something soon to stop the Islamization of the west, it will be too late. Islam is the enemy.
“The dark age of Europe happened when Islam cut it off from various trade routes and put them under constant siege.”
The dark ages happened with the fall of Rome.
Somewhere some dog is missing it’s ALPO
When was this? Was it when their Pedophile Priphet was raping 9-year-olds?
