Ann Counter: Ted Cruz Not Natural Born Citizen [Team Trump!]
Check out article.
Thanks, Fractal Trader.
Ann went to a third-rate law school and clerked for an appeals court judge. Ted attended the best law school on Earth and clerked for the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. Which one of those two would know more about the Natural Born Citizen clause?
Ted’s speech was awesome yesterday.
Scrolling the thread to see if anyone got it...good job!
If Cruz is the/a nominee, the dems will start attacking him on this issue.
Then it can be pointed out to them that they are using Coulter’s talking point and shown how gullible they are to be set up in that way.
Ann Coulter, an accomplished and proud polemicist
Citizenship Terms Used in the U.S. Constitution - The 5 Terms Defined & Some Legal Reference to Same
Stop misinforming people. It is not written in the Constitution because in 1787 there was no need to define something so obvious.
The "Two-Parent requirement" is not a requirement, it is the unavoidable consequence of the American Father requirement. The woman became automatically a citizen when she married an American Husband, so it reduced to a "two-parent" citizenship situation.
In fact, it was always a "one-parent" situation, so long as the person who had the citizenship was the Father.
This is also reflected in English Law, where only an English Father could pass on "natural born subject" status.
If you doubt what I say on this, take a look here at the Naturalization act of 1790. It specifically says that if a Child is born abroad to a non-resident father, (meaning someone who isn't intending to become a citizen) they cannot have American citizenship.
Provided, that the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States:
Neither, because that is not a topic any law school spends very much time on. Mostly they just point at "Wong Kim Ark" (which actually has nothing to do with "natural born citizen") and they leave it at that.
The only way anyone can find out what that phrase actually means is to either do a lot of research themselves specifically on this point, or read the research that others have done competently on this point.
You aren't going to learn about what "natural born citizen" means in a Law School. It is simply too minor (in the larger scope of things) of a subject for any of them to bother spending much time on it.
It’s Ann Coulter. She’s joking. duh
Well, this is an issue that each voter must consider when evaluating the qualifications of each candidate. Ann and I disagree about this but, like everyone else, she will have a vote.
I doubt you were taught that, regardless, it is and was never true if you were actually born in the United States.
Worrying about “dual allegiance” is so analog. /s
>> Shes trying to pull support from Cruz to Trump by throwing out flat out lies <<
You may be misjudging her. I suspect she really doesn’t care a whit about Trump, Cruz or anybody else except for herself. She’s out to sell her books and keep her name before the public. Just about any kind of outrageousness will do. She would turn on a dime to dump Trump if that action would increase her book sales or TV contracts.
I think Ann’s shtick is basically a manifestation of the same celebrity culture that worships people who are famous for being famous — except that she hasn’t yet achieved the same level of fame as have the Kardashians and the Trumps.
>> The US Constitution doesnt say ANYTHING about having to have (2) US Citizen Parents <<
Yeah, but we’ve been told time and again via multiple FR birther threads that anything written by Monsieur Emmerich de Vattel “trumps” not only the Constitution, but all laws passed by Congress and all federal court decisions. So there!
Anyway, I guess we need to get Dr. Orly Taitz on the case. Only then will we have a definitive answer.
Someone a few days back was arguing that Trump was a business magnate, that's why he's famous -- he builds big buildings and golf courses, he's accomplished a lot! Of course Americans know him!
The truth is that Americans know who Trump is because of celebrity media, because he toots his own horn, because of television and the Apprentice -- "You're fired."
He's refreshingly politically incorrect, he gratifies peoples' anger. He's charming, he's a patriot, he's sincere. And his fundamental political philosophy is ... zip. All over the board. A crap shoot. He's a celebrity.
I am sad to say he is Arnold on a national scale. Hey, Arnold could win! In fact, he did! And now we have Jerry Brown.
I'll vote for what I want to win. I'll vote for Cruz.
>> Following the logic of some that Cruz is not a natural born citizen because his dad was not a natural born citizen means that Cruzs children are not natural born citizens <<
Same logic applies to Donald Trump, because his mother was born in the Scottish Isles. So I guess Donald ain’t an NBC.
