Though the Fox News promos state it is a debate of Republican candidates, most of the network’s on-air personalities have admitted publicly it has turned into the Donald Trump show as the top GOP contender has become the single most referenced topic on the minds of everyone following the 2016 Race for the White House.
That reality is not sitting well with GOP power brokers who are said to have made it clear to operatives linked to a variety of candidate camps that Donald Trump cannot be allowed to appear to win tomorrow night’s debate. Some are said to have taken an even more aggressive stance by indicating Trump’s Republican rivals are to “take him out” tomorrow night.
Trump has shocked the GOP establishment with his currently growing base of support based largely on his straight talk and a repeated promise to “Make America Great Again.”
That dominance is said to be facing its most focused challenge tomorrow night as Mr. Trump will be target #1 for a number of GOP hopefuls who have been told their own presidential hopes will be finished if they do not help in breaking the Trump momentum once and for all. This threat is said to come from an assortment of Wall Street and business interests concerned over the potential volatility of a Trump political machine – volatility that might make him “unmanageable” should he actually go on to become the Republican nominee.
It should also be noted some of these high-powered donors are helping to finance the campaigns of BOTH Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. Presently, Donald Trump represents the single greatest threat to their intention of controlling the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.
Of the candidates who are said to have been given their anti-Trump marching orders last night, one was apparently told with the greatest sense of urgency – Senator Marco Rubio
Senator Rubio is currently sitting near the bottom of the top-tier candidate rankings with just 5% support among Republican voters. He was not so long ago viewed by some to be a legitimate contender for the GOP nomination. If he is to regain that former momentum (and the all-important campaign dollars that come to a real contender) he must prove himself to the political donor class tomorrow night by coming out aggressively against Mr. Trump.
It was reportedly the Rubio campaign that was specifically given the directive to, “take Trump out” during this week’s debate.

I was a registered democrat until Reagan’s second term. I believe in the reality of change. And, I’ll admit, I’m still very pro-middle class worker. That’s probably why Sessions’ attacks on immigration have resonated with me. It has always been the social conservative themes that have kept me close to the republican party. While I think the free market is the best way to run an economy, I also think we barely have a free market any more.
I also transitioned from pro-choice to full blown pro-life (exception life of mother) over the years. As recently as GWBush, I’ll bet I can be found on Free Republic arguing for rape and incest being acceptable exceptions for abortion AND saying that for those exceptions to be viable, then abortion must be legal at least to that degree.
Seriously, CEW, I’ve changed over the years.
Trump better be ready—he better put on the Full Armor of God to face eight dragons. I believe —at his side will be his loyal squire and fellow knight, Cruz. If Trump goes, he will take many dark knights with him.
H1Bs are way better than illegals. Sounds like you are just unhappy that other people can provide the same skills as you for a lower cost.

If any shenanigans are pulled by Fox, moderators, etc., and Trump “lays down the law” against such moves, his ratings will rocket through the roof!!
If its between Hillihag, Trump and Bush I will vote Trump as I see no difference between the Hag and Little Jebbie.
What I’m unhappy about is that employers are allowed to bring in third world workers to take American jobs. And sooner or later, it will affect you too. And I’ll be laughing my ass of when it does.
No need. Trump can “accept” the apology in the most magnanimous way without ever actually receiving it. In the same sense that someone has their resignation “accepted” whether they offered it or not.
A reminder: FR is being monitored. Its obvious that Trumps people and some of the other candidates are watching the right wing blogs.

I was on an H1-B before I received my green card. I am a job creator. Many Americans are happy I came here as they have jobs they might not otherwise have.
If my company couldn’t bring in H1-Bs it might have just remained a foreign entity and many Americans would not have work.
Well good.

Although I doubt that anyone (other than maybe Trump) is smart enough to actually take advantage of the wisdom offered by FReepers.
We thought that in the 1990’s but it never happened. We need a national figure to raise attention.
Trump should use the phrase “ the two big donor parties” often tonight. And tie Bush, Hilliary and puppets in debate to the big donors. If Cruz also said the same a few times there would be a lot of freaking out with the bought and paid for. The American people (a great many of them) know what is going on.
Cruz you better make your move or you are stuck with the pack of losers.
Ordered mine. Got notice this morning it wee being shipped. Originally said it woukdnt be shipped till fall. Am suspicious that they moved it up to day of debate. Expect an announcement tonight

I think Cruz will be gunning for Trump. Trump has been waking up voters (which is great, of course!) but also stealing Cruz’s thunder. Watch for fireworks between those two. (And Cruz won’t need someone to *tell* him to do it!)
