Jeb Bush Pulls A Todd Akin, Hillary & CNN Pounce
Breitbart ^ | 8/5/15 | John Nolte

Posted on 08/05/2015 6:08:17 AM PDT by jimbo123

A massive unforced error committed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush Tuesday has not only allowed Hillary Clinton and her media (especially CNN) to go on the offense over the Planned Parenthood issue, it has created a video clip that will haunt Bush and the GOP for as long as Bush is in the presidential race.

During a relaxed forum where Bush was under no pressure and had plenty of time to expand on anything he wanted to discuss, he said, “I’m not sure we need a half-billion dollars for women’s health issues.” Full quote below.

“You could take dollar for dollar — although I’m not sure we need half a billion dollars for women’s health issues — but if you took dollar for dollar, there are many extraordinarily fine community health organizations that exist to provide quality care for women on a wide variety of health issues,” Bush said.

Bush immediately tried to clean up the mess, releasing a statement admitting he misspoke and was talking specifically about defunding Planned Parenthood.

Along with CNN, Hillary Clinton immediately seized the opportunity:

“I would like to ask him, ‘Gov. Bush try telling that to the mom who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to to get screening in time. Was her health not worth the money?” she said. “Tell it to the teenager who avoided an unintended pregnancy because she had access to contraception. Tell it to everyone who was protected by an HIV test.”

Clinton then lit into Bush on Twitter.

WE do NOT need planned parenthood. YOu can argue that 1/2 billion might NOT be enough for women’s health, and the federal dollars need to go to the states to be put to that use, but planned parenthood is a disgrace to this country.

It isn’t going to hurt the GOP in any way. It may expose the GOPe as Hitlary supporters, but the timing is only good to dispose of Bill’s other brother in the race.

I’d like to see some actual numbers about how many HIV/AIDS tests PP performs on site.

I’d also like to know the number of mammogram screenings they do on site. How many mammogram machines they own. [Don’t bother, I know the answer to this one = ZERO]

They can’t prove anything with numbers that they are anything besides an abortion mill.

Karl, How do you say “vet” in Spanish? Apparently that’s what your best boy speaks.

1. the mom who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to to get screening in time.

Women get mammograms at many other places..

2. the teenager who avoided an unintended pregnancy because she had access to contraception.

Any doctor can prescribe the pill and why is Hillary not telling the teenager not to have sex. Every time the girl has sex she intends to get pregnant.

3. Everyone who was protected by an HIV test.

Men too ??? I thought this was about women’s health. Are these people who are doing “risky” sex ??? Again tell them to stop doing that.

The buzz was that Jeb was the “smart one” (compared to George). I’ve seen zero evidence of that.

Notice all of the pundits, commentators and political contenders giving Trump advice on how he should act during the debate.

Yeah, right. They are concerned that The Donald might stick his foot in his mouth.

[Actually, they are more concerned that The Donald might stick his foot in their candidate’s mouth.]

No Jeb was on the short bus going to school as a child and George was on the normal bus. Every family has a tard in it.

I view this almost as Blue on Blue fire.

Bush (with any other establishment RINO type) is last on my list of all the GOP candidates in the primaries. Right now, Cruz probably tops my list.

If Bush were to win the nomination, I would vote for him over Hillary...but I am afraid far too many conservatives will stay home like last time.

If Jebicito Bush wants to survive he needs to push on through. If he apologizes, he’ll get ripped to shreds.
Not that I would mind...
