NEW YORK (AP) A tourist from Texas was arrested over the weekend on charges she was packing two loaded handguns at the Sept. 11 memorial in New York City, authorities said Monday.
According to a criminal complaint, Elizabeth Enderli was visiting the site Saturday when she informed a police officer she had the weapons in her backpack. She was charged with criminal possession of a weapon before being released Sunday.

Beats the hell out of your nightstand....
Especially when your nightstand is halfway across the country.
Better yet, simply do not go to NY. Especially NYC.
Headshake.
No danger of me ever going there.
Have relative in N VA and I hate being that close to MD. Same ComDem insanity rules.
You beat me to it. hee hee hee
Try Memphis but don’t stop for gas!
agreed....I wish the situation was such that I could leave.
family makes it rough.
VT and NH are two of the freest states in the union with regard to gun laws.
I grew up in Nassau County, NY and got a .22 for my twelfth birthday. Used to shoot to in the back yard with my friends.
It is UNBELIEVABLE what NY has become, in terms of anti-gun tyranny.
she would have been smart to turn around and leave.
“dont carry your handguns into NY.”
A young cowboy named Billy Joe grew restless on the farm
A boy filled with wonderlust who really meant no harm
He changed his clothes and shined his boots
And combed his dark hair down
And his mother cried as he walked out
Don’t take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don’t take your guns to town
He laughed and kissed his mom
And said your Billy Joe’s a man
I can shoot as quick and straight as anybody can
But I wouldn’t shoot without a cause
I’d gun nobody down
But she cried again as he rode away
Don’t take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don’t take your guns to town
He sang a song as on he rode
His guns hung at his hips
He rode into a cattle town
A smile upon his lips
He stopped and walked into a bar
And laid his money down
But his mother’s words echoed again
Don’t take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don’t take your guns to town
He drank his first strong liquor then to calm his shaking hand
And tried to tell himself he had at last he had become a man
A dusty cowpoke at his side began to laugh him down
And he heard again his mothers words
Don’t take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don’t take your guns to town
Filled with rage then
Billy Joe reached for his gun to draw
But the stranger drew his gun and fired
Before he even saw
As Billy Joe fell to the floor
The crowd all gathered ‘round
And wondered at his final words
Don’t take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don’t take your guns to town
Johnny Cash - Don’t Take Your Guns To Town

Virginia is now run by Clintonistas....I would feel the same about the whole state. getting like my state of NY.
I walk the line.
NY is the worst (and NYC, holding some of the powers of a State, is even worse). The fact that NY does not issue non-resident permits cannot be constitutional.
The whole "blue wall" of MD,NJ,NY,CT,RI, and MA, which cuts off Northern NE from the rest of Free America is ripe for constitutional challenge.
Vermont cant last...the Brooklyn progressives own Vermont and will in time take your guns.
There are cases where people legally transporting locked, unloaded firearms in checked baggage on an aircraft, legal at departure and legal at destination, have had their flights diverted to Newark or LaGuardia and been arrested when then picked up their luggage for an unplanned overnight stay. Those people sometimes are jailed for days waiting for a hearing or because they cannot make bail.
It is outrageous.
Then there's that 2nd Amendment thingy.
Yeah, yeah. I know. But fugg'em. If they're gonna infringe, I'm gonna omit. Etc., etc. Everybody's gotta do what they think they gotta do, IMO.
Still, I'm on board with the easier solution of just not going into these states that are now "enemy territory". Why support'em?
Don’t forget to keep a close watch on that heart of yours, and keep your eyes wide open all the time. :)
Sorry to say honesty doesn't pay anymore. Our liberal socialist media, legislatures and elite judges have made every honest person a criminal. It's against the law to think otherwise in this politically correct and racist Amerika we live in today.
Before doing anything, one must ponder whether it is now against zie law, politically incorrect, or racist. We wouldn't want to offend anyone, now would we? We wouldn't want to break any laws, now would we? We wouldn't want to be called a hater, now would we? No, we just want to be accepted and loved by the other sheeple. Sometimes too much, as witnessed by the two ladies from Texas.
What ever happened to that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness thing our founding fathers gave us?
Their fault for not recognizing the lack of 2nd amendment respect in NYC where only criminals, including cops, have guns, and the citizenry are disarmed victims in waiting. Now she likely loses her guns. Actions have consequences. At some point I hope the state, Congress, or the Supreme Court recognizes that the 2nd amendment applies to everyone, including minorities and those have the misfortune to live in an urban area. To me, the racist result of these unconstitutional gun laws should be enough to throw them out. Are urban citizens, especially minorities, really okay with less rights than the rest of the country?!
This summer, we vacationed in South Padre Island where I was thoroughly and legally armed everywhere I went with my wife, young son and daughter. I love vacationing in Texas.
I think you have to promise first to vote for Chrispie.
