That really doesn’t seem like the hood at that location. Pretty upper class, although to the east of there might be college kid housing area. I don’t think there are businesses there, so is this a home invasion or someone on the bike/hike trail?
Our thinking and thought processes are being highjacked by a language only frightened toads would use
"Well officer, I believe I was at my store around .... ohhhh ... I don't know, I believe it was about 8 oclock when suddenly !
I believe a man with what I believe was a gun burst through the door and I believe he said "Show me da money!"
Ande honestly officer, I believe he was serious and I believe I was really, really scared
So I believe I think I reached down and pulled my gun from what I believe is my counter and I belive I shot what I believe is the robber
I believe I fired more than once or maybe only once, I believe I was pretty shaken
I believe it was THEN that I believe I called you and I believe YOU are the cop I believe I'me giving my statement to"
Because of your belief, you may go in peace, Amen
-—”shooting victim”—????
The robbery or the apparent self defense? Or, do they consider both a crime?
I’m gonna take a wild guess here. If Obama had a son he’d be six feet deep ‘bout now.
Like I implied ... control the language, control the thought process, control the man
DRT, a happy ending.
And who is the person who believes this?!? The "reporter"? The police? Some entity who "reportedly" told some other entity that two thieves were trying to rob (contrasted to actually robbing) two victims?
Using the unidentified passive voice in "news" articles is a disreputable technique to tapdance around not knowing something or just making it up. But that's why it's called the "fifth-column media."

...a man attempting to rob two people in Shadow Falls Park. When the officers arrived to the scene they found a man dead from a gunshot wound.
What I can tell you is that the male subject was with a female and they were having a conversation at the time robbery, said St. Paul Police Sergeant Paul Paulos. “We’re trying to determine with the gunshot wound, who fired, who did what.”
According to the St. Paul Police, one of the suspects was shot during the attempted robbery of two adults. The second suspect robber took off from the scene before the police arrived...
